Marriage Restoration - Your Calling

MARRIAGE RESTORATION - YOUR CALLING

We constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of His calling, and that by His power He may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Do you know that your Lord God is calling you for an assignment? Do you have a battle raging on the inside of what you should do? Are you trying to ignore God's wooing? He is calling you, but deep inside do you really want to pick up your cross and follow Him? I know personally, the Lord commanded me to stand in the gap for my husband for the sake of our marriage, my spouse's salvation, for my children’s' salvation and for many generations in the future to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Paul was writing a letter to the Thessalonian church to clear up a misunderstanding and to encourage this church to stand firm for Christ's truth. Paul wrote more than one prayer showing his true love and concern for his fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:6-8

Paul wanted to stress that he was praying for all the people who were believers. His prayer was that God would count the people "worthy" of His calling on their lives. Paul wanted everyone to know it was by God's power that they would fulfill every good purpose in their lives and by their faith in their Lord Jesus Christ.

"Worthy of His calling" means to "want" to do what is "right" and good, or ask yourself, "what would Jesus do?" This all can be accomplished only by God's wonderful grace, mercy and love as you seek to grow in the Lord.

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:1-3

May you remember every day that the Lord has a calling on your life. God has a plan and a purpose for your life and for your marriage. Do not panic, God is in control. God is not surprised by any of your circumstances. He wants you to surrender everything to Him, trusting and believing in His mighty power, His mercy and His grace. Only the Lord can remove every mountain of circumstance that you face now or in the future. Will you walk in faith, believing in the Lord?

Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 40:4-5

Why does God work miracles today? So that you will give Him all the praise and glory that He deserves. Will you tell others all that the Lord has done for you and for your marriage (or in your finances or in your children's lives or in health issues), to be able to save many other marriages, other prodigal husbands and wives and children?

You have a choice - accept or deny the calling to obey the Lord. What is your decision? May you always choose to accept the calling that the Holy Spirit is speaking to you as Gabriel was sent to speak to Mary who accepted her special calling.

I pray that today, as you are obedient to the Lord’s will and way for your life and marriage, you will start to hear a rumble, as your mountain of circumstances begins to crumble.

"...I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20

Have a blessed day,
