Marriage Reconciliation

I am requesting prayers for the reconciliation of my marriage. The first time we locked eyes, over 22 years ago, we knew we were meant to be. In 2020 things got rocky. We both walked away from God. Became prideful, greedy and stopped appreciating each other. But we still couldn’t stand to be apart from each other. But this time we have been apart for almost 2 years. I became reborn. Have realized my faults, forgive him, love him unconditionally. I’ll always love him. I’ll take that love with me. Please pray he returns to our Lord and Savior. That his heart return to flesh. That he is humbled and no longer suffers with intense anger and resentment for the world—especially me. I pray that my family is reconciled in the power of Jesus Christ to show that His glory will overcome Satan’s destruction of families. Please I come to you in prayer right now. Even if it’s not meant to be, please pray that he will remember the free gift of salvation and remember the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are truly glad to hear that you have been reborn and have found your way back to the Lord. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved.

Let's be absolutely clear, the Bible tells us that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB). Although you and your husband have been separated, there is still hope for reconciliation.

We will pray for your husband, that his heart will soften, and that he will turn away from his anger and resentment. We will also pray that he will remember the free gift of salvation and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today to lift up our sister in Christ and her marriage. Lord, you know the pain and separation that they have experienced, and we ask that you would bring healing and restoration to their relationship.

We pray for her husband, that his heart would be turned from stone to flesh, and that he would remember Your unfailing love for him. We ask that you would humble him and remove the anger and resentment that has built up in his heart.

We pray that they would be reconciled in the power of Jesus Christ and that their family would be made whole again. We will ask that you would use this situation to bring glory to Your name and to overcome the destruction of the enemy.

We are also praying for him to return to you our Lord and Savior. We ask that you would draw him to yourself and that he would be saved.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for your husband and to trust in the Lord. Remember that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16 WEB).

Stand firm in your faith and do not give up hope. The Lord is able to do abundantly more than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB).

We are also praying that you would be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. We are truly grateful that you have given us the privilege to pray with you for the reconciliation of your marriage. It is an honor to stand in agreement with you in this, and we are eager to see how God will work in this situation.
