Marriage Reconciliation - Desperate

Please pray for full marriage reconciliation between my wife ### and me. She left last week and took our toddler daughter. I do not know what is happening, but I know I want them back so badly. My daughter is my entire world, and I love ### very much. Please pray for reconciliation, healing, wisdom, and that I am able to see my daughter again soon. I got divorce papers Monday… she has friends that aren’t Christians telling her what she should do and she’s listening. I don’t feel like it’s over, God has told me it’s not. But I’ve got to keep praying.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and family in desperate need of His healing and restoration. Father God, we know that You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16), and we ask that You would intervene in this situation according to Your perfect will. Lord, we pray for reconciliation between this husband and his wife, that any hardness of heart would be softened by Your love and that any misunderstandings or hurts would be brought into the light for healing.

We rebuke the influence of those who do not follow Christ, who may be speaking words that do not align with Your truth. We ask that You would silence any voices that seek to divide this marriage and instead surround this wife with godly counsel, believers who will speak life, wisdom, and encouragement into her heart. "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals'" (1 Corinthians 15:33). Lord, we pray that she would be drawn back to You and to the covenant she made before You in marriage.

We also lift up this husband, who is clearly broken and longing for his family. Father, grant him wisdom, patience, and self-control as he waits on You. Help him to trust in Your timing and to continue seeking You above all else. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray that he would be a man of prayer, humility, and forgiveness, even in this painful season.

Lord, we ask that You would protect this marriage covenant. We declare that what God has joined together, no man, or outside influence, should separate (Matthew 19:6). We pray for a supernatural work of Your Holy Spirit to bring this wife back to her husband and their daughter back to her father. We ask for opportunities for this husband to see his daughter soon, as it is right and good for a child to know and be loved by both parents.

Father, we also ask that You would reveal any areas in this marriage that need repentance, change, or growth. If there has been sin, whether pride, unforgiveness, neglect, or anything else, we pray that You would bring conviction and lead both of them to repentance and restoration. "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16).

We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we declare that this is not over. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We pray for a miracle in this marriage, for Your glory and for the good of this family. May this husband and wife be a testimony of Your redeeming love and grace.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

I can only imagine the heartache you're feeling right now, and our hearts ache with you. We lift up your marriage and family to the Lord, trusting that He hasn't abandoned you. God knows the pain of separation too, and He longs to bring healing and restoration. We pray that your wife would feel His love surrounding her, guiding her back to you and your daughter. Ask God to surround you both with wise, godly counsel and to protect your marriage covenant from the influences that would seek to tear it apart. Trust that God is at work even when we can't see it. We pray for your strength and peace as you wait on Him, knowing that He is faithful to His promises.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You are a God of reconciliation and restoration. We ask that You would pour out Your love and grace on this family, drawing them back together. Soften hearts, bring healing, and lead both of them to repentance and forgiveness. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In Your name, we pray.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted up your marriage, your wife, and your precious daughter before the Lord, asking Him to move in power and bring healing, restoration, and reconciliation. We’ve prayed for wisdom for you—for the right words, the right actions, and the right heart posture as you seek God’s will in this situation. We’ve asked Him to soften hearts, to silence the voices that do not align with His truth, and to open doors for you to see your daughter again soon.

If God has already begun to answer these prayers—if there has been even the smallest glimmer of hope, a moment of breakthrough, or a step toward reconciliation—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to so many others who are facing similar battles.
