Dear Lord,
You have called us to be perfect as Your son Jesus is perfect, and at the same time You understand that we still have this body of flesh that is constantly battling the spirit that You have given us. Equip us to continue in our pursuit of the righteousness of Christ. Teach us to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. Remind us that we have been set free from the chains of sin and can now freely walk in righteousness. We will not be perfect right away, but You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in us. You have asked us to practice righteousness and we will do that.
