We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for marriage, job, and employment. Though the details have been withheld, we know that God sees and understands every burden, every longing, and every need. Let us stand together in faith, trusting that He who began a good work will complete it in His perfect timing.
Father, we first ask for Your divine guidance in the area of marriage. We pray for godly spouses for those who are seeking a lifelong covenant partner. Lord, may they not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, but instead find someone who loves You above all else. If there is any unrepentant sin—such as fornication, adultery, or impure relationships—we ask for conviction, repentance, and healing. Your Word declares, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). We rebuke any ungodly influences and pray for purity, patience, and wisdom in courtship, with marriage as the ultimate goal.
For those struggling with employment, we declare that You are the Provider, Jehovah Jireh. You know every need before it is spoken, and You open doors that no man can shut. We pray for favor in job searches, wisdom in interviews, and perseverance in the waiting. *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* (Psalm 37:5-6). If there is fear, doubt, or discouragement, we break its power in Jesus’ name. We declare that the right opportunity will come at the right time, and that God’s people will not be forsaken.
Lord, if there is any area where this request does not align with Your will—whether in motives, actions, or desires—we ask for correction. Search our hearts, O God, and lead us in Your truth. *"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? I, the Lord, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings."* (Jeremiah 17:9-10). We surrender every concern to You, trusting that Your plans are for good and not for harm.
We also lift up the spiritual condition of the one who submitted this request. If they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray for the Holy Spirit to draw them near. There is no other name by which we can be saved—*"for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* (Acts 4:12). If they are already a believer, we pray for revival, deeper intimacy with You, and a life that bears fruit for Your kingdom.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We declare that You are working even when we cannot see it. Strengthen our faith, Lord. May we walk in obedience, patience, and trust, knowing that You are our Shepherd, our Provider, and our Peace. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
