We come before the Father in the name of Jesus, lifting you up in prayer for the desires of your heart. First, we rejoice that you are seeking God’s will in these areas of your life, for He cares deeply about your marriage, your work, your health, and your future. However, we must lovingly address a few things to ensure your requests align with Scripture and that you are seeking God in the right way.
The Bible makes it clear that our prayers must be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved or by which our prayers are heard. Additionally, the apostle Paul tells us, *"Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus"* (Colossians 3:17, WEB). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, acknowledging Him as your Lord and Savior. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Now, let us address your requests with the truth of God’s Word. You have asked for marital favor, and we understand this to mean you are seeking a godly husband who will love and care for you as Christ loves the Church. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, and it is His desire for His children to enter into it with wisdom and purity. The Bible teaches that a wife is to be loved by her husband *"as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). Likewise, a wife is to respect and submit to her husband *"as to the Lord"* (Ephesians 5:22, WEB). If you are not yet married, we encourage you to seek a husband who is a believer in Christ, for *"don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A godly marriage begins with two people who are fully committed to following Jesus.
We also notice that you have asked for a husband who can *"look after you."* While it is natural to desire provision and care, we must remind you that your ultimate trust must be in the Lord, not in a man. The Bible says, *"Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). A husband is to provide and care for his wife, but your security must first be found in Christ. Proverbs 31 describes a virtuous woman whose *"worth is far above rubies"* and who *"opens her mouth with wisdom"* (Proverbs 31:10, 26, WEB). She is industrious, faithful, and trusts in the Lord. We pray that you would be a woman of such godly character, preparing yourself to be a helper suitable for the husband God has for you.
Regarding your business, we pray for God’s favor and wisdom over it. The Bible tells us, *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Success in business must be sought with integrity and hard work, trusting that God will provide. *"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might"* (Ecclesiastes 9:10, WEB), and *"in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:6, WEB). We pray that your business would honor God and be a blessing to others, not just a means for personal gain.
For your health, we lift you up to the Lord, who is our healer. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2, WEB). We ask the Lord to strengthen your body and protect you from sickness. However, we also encourage you to take care of the temple God has given you, for *"your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you"* (1 Corinthians 6:19, WEB). Honor God with your body through proper rest, nutrition, and exercise.
Finally, you have asked for your own home in a lovely area. While it is not wrong to desire a comfortable place to live, we must remind you that our true home is in heaven. Jesus said, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth... but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven"* (Matthew 6:19-20, WEB). We pray that God would provide for your needs, but we also pray that your heart would be content in Him, whether in abundance or in lack. *"Having food and clothing, let’s be content with that"* (1 Timothy 6:8, WEB).
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister to You. Lord, we ask that You would draw her closer to Yourself, that she may know You more deeply and trust You fully. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for her, that she may confess Jesus as Lord and believe in her heart that You raised Him from the dead.
Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance as she seeks a godly husband. Prepare her to be a wife of noble character, rooted in Your Word and filled with Your Spirit. Bring a man into her life who loves You above all else, who will lead her spiritually, and who will cherish her as Christ loves the Church. Let this union be founded on Your truth and bring glory to Your name. We rebuke any impatience or worldly desires that may lead her astray, and we ask that You would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
For her business, Lord, we ask for Your favor and prosperity. Grant her wisdom in her decisions, integrity in her dealings, and diligence in her work. May her business be a testament to Your goodness, and may she use her resources to bless others and advance Your Kingdom. Provide for her needs, Lord, and let her trust in You rather than in her own efforts.
We pray for her health, Father. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. Strengthen her body, protect her from disease, and fill her with Your peace. Help her to steward her health well, honoring You in all she does.
Lastly, Father, we ask that You would provide for her housing needs. Give her a place of safety and rest, and let her heart be content in You, whether in plenty or in want. Remind her that this world is not her home, and let her long for the eternal dwelling place You are preparing for her in heaven.
