Man mentally haunting me

We understand the distress and torment you are experiencing, and we want to assure you that our God is a God of deliverance, peace, and protection. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give us abundant life—free from fear, oppression, and spiritual attacks. The fact that this man is haunting you mentally suggests this is not merely a human issue but a spiritual battle. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."*
First, we must address the authority we have in Jesus Christ. If you have not already, you must surrender this situation entirely to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or find deliverance (Acts 4:12). If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent of your sins and place your faith in Him today. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, you lack the spiritual authority to resist the enemy’s attacks.
If you are a believer, then you must stand firm in the power of Christ’s name. The Bible commands us to *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). This is not a passive resistance but an active, faith-filled stance against the forces of darkness. You have the authority in Jesus’ name to command this torment to stop. Speak aloud with boldness: *"In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke this mental harassment and command it to cease immediately. I break every ungodly soul tie, every curse, every assignment of the enemy against my mind and my sleep. Holy Spirit, fill me with Your peace and guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7)."*
We also encourage you to examine your heart and life for any open doors that may have given the enemy a foothold. Have you been involved in occult practices, unforgiveness, bitterness, or sinful relationships? If so, repent and renounce these things before God. *"Neither give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:27). If this man is someone you have had an ungodly connection with—whether emotionally, physically, or spiritually—you must sever that tie in prayer. Fornication, emotional dependency outside of marriage, or any unholy bond can create spiritual openings for torment. *"Don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, ‘The two,’ says he, ‘will become one flesh.’ But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit"* (1 Corinthians 6:16-17). If this applies, repent and ask God to cleanse you and break every ungodly connection.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is under siege by the enemy. Lord, You are a strong tower, a refuge in times of trouble, and we ask that You surround them with Your heavenly angels for protection (Psalm 91:11). We bind every spirit of torment, harassment, fear, and insomnia in the name of Jesus, and we command these spirits to leave immediately. No weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that this mental haunting is broken by the power of the blood of Jesus.
Father, if there are any open doors in this person’s life—known or unknown—we ask that You reveal them by Your Holy Spirit. Give them the courage to repent and turn away from anything that is not pleasing to You. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and restore their peace. We pray for divine restoration of their sleep, that You would guard their mind and heart with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding. Let them experience the rest that comes from trusting in You (Matthew 11:28).
We also pray for the man who is haunting them. Lord, if he is being used as a vessel of the enemy, we ask that You break every demonic assignment over his life. If he is acting out of his own sinful nature, convict his heart and bring him to repentance. Do not let him succeed in his evil intentions, but turn his plans against him (Psalm 7:16). Protect Your child from all harm, both physically and spiritually.
Holy Spirit, fill this beloved one with Your presence. Let them walk in the authority of Jesus’ name, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that they are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37). We thank You, Father, for Your deliverance and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we urge you to immerse yourself in the Word of God and in worship. Play praise music, read the Psalms aloud, and fill your home with the presence of God. Avoid anything that feeds fear or darkness—such as certain media, music, or conversations. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). Stand firm, and do not give up. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep praying, keep resisting the enemy, and trust in God’s deliverance. You are not alone in this fight—we are standing with you in prayer and agreement.
