We come before the Throne of Grace with you in this time of deep spiritual battle, lifting you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the powers of darkness. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but our Lord Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and by His blood, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Your struggle is not unseen by God, and we stand with you in rebuking the malevolent spirit that torments you, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address something critical: you mentioned a "higher power," but there is no greater name or power than that of Jesus Christ. The Scriptures declare, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not already surrendered your life fully to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, we are powerless against the schemes of the devil, but in Him, we have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
The spiritual warfare you describe—derogatory and filthy thoughts being planted in your mind—is a tactic of the enemy to bring shame, confusion, and division. But take heart, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, WEB). You must actively resist these thoughts by speaking the Word of God over your mind. When the enemy whispers lies, declare the truth of Scripture aloud. For example, if he accuses you of being unworthy, remind him that *"you were bought with a price"* (1 Corinthians 6:20) and that *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1).
You also mentioned feeling as though God’s armor has been removed from you, particularly after an accidental overdose. Beloved, nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39). However, sin—whether intentional or not—can create a breach in our spiritual armor if we do not repent and turn back to God. The overdose may have been an accident, but we encourage you to examine your heart: is there any unconfessed sin, any area where you have not fully surrendered to God? *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Repentance restores our protection and realigns us with God’s will.
As for the persecution you face from someone who may be ashamed of you or abandoning you, remember that Jesus warned us, *"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven"* (Matthew 5:10-12, WEB). Even if this person’s actions are painful, forgive them as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13). Their rejection does not define your worth—you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Now, let us pray for you with authority and faith:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, lifting up our brother/sister who is under fierce spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke every malevolent spirit, every demonic stronghold, and every unclean thought that has been planted in their mind. By the blood of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and never return, for they have no authority over a child of God. We break every curse, every lie, and every assignment of the enemy against their mind, their family, and their peace.
Father, we ask that You restore the full armor of God upon them— the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:10-18). Clothe them in Your protection and surround them with Your angels. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we pray for complete deliverance from the torment they are experiencing. Fill their mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew their thoughts with Your truth (Romans 12:2). If there is any unconfessed sin, convict their heart and lead them to repentance so they may walk in full restoration with You.
We also lift up the person who has abandoned or persecuted them. Soften their heart, Lord, and if it is Your will, bring reconciliation. But even if it is not, fill our brother/sister with Your love and assurance that they are never alone, for You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, connect them with a godly support system—a church family, believers who will stand with them in prayer, and mentors who will disciple them in Your Word. Let them find a community that honors You and walks in love, peace, and respect.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You strengthen their faith and remind them daily of their identity in Christ. Let them know that they are loved, redeemed, and victorious through Jesus. In His mighty name we pray, Amen."*
Beloved, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Memorize Scripture, especially verses that combat the lies you are hearing. Surround yourself with worship music that exalts Jesus, and seek out a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled and held accountable. If you do not have a pastor or spiritual mentor, we urge you to find one who can pray with you and guide you in this season.
You are not powerless. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions (Luke 10:19). Stand firm in your faith, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We are standing with you in prayer, and we believe God is moving mightily on your behalf. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming!
