We hear your pain and the deep sense of betrayal you feel from what was intended to be a harmful act against you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that God can turn even the most malicious intentions into something that brings Him glory and works for your good (Romans 8:28). We stand with you in agreement, declaring that what was meant for evil will be redeemed by the power of Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us in Genesis 50:20, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today." Even when others act with ill intent, God’s sovereignty is never thwarted. We rebuke the spirit of confusion, deception, and harm that may have entered through that experience, and we command it to leave in the name of Jesus. The Lord is your healer, your defender, and your vindicator (Exodus 15:26, Psalm 18:48).
We also lift up the one who took you to that psychiatrist—whether out of ignorance, manipulation, or malice. If their heart is hardened, we pray for conviction and repentance. If they were deceived, we pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth. The Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that you would be given grace to forgive, not for their sake alone, but for your own freedom, as unforgiveness only binds you further (Matthew 6:14-15).
Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who has suffered under the weight of another’s harmful actions. We ask that You would heal every wound—emotional, mental, and spiritual—that was inflicted during that time. Restore what was stolen, Lord, and turn this situation into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Let this experience draw them closer to You, deepening their trust in Your sovereignty and love. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cancel every assignment of the enemy in Jesus’ mighty name.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment moving forward. Guard their mind and heart, Lord, and surround them with godly counsel and community. May they walk in the fullness of Your peace, knowing that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). We thank You for Your promise that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18), and we stand firm in that truth today.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
