We hear your cry for help, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The distress of hearing voices that torment your mind is not something to bear alone, and we lift you up to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). It is written, "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7), and so we do just that, trusting that He hears and will answer according to His perfect will.
First and foremost, we must address the spiritual battle you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and these voices may be a tactic to bring fear, confusion, and despair into your life. But we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We rebuke every lying spirit, every voice of accusation, and every tormenting thought in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We command them to be silent and flee, for it is written, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and professional help if you haven’t already. The Lord often works through the wisdom and support of His people, including those trained to help with mental and emotional struggles. "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). Do not hesitate to reach out to a trusted pastor, Christian counselor, or medical professional who can walk alongside you in this journey.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our ### who is enduring the torment of voices in her mind. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would silence every voice that does not come from You. Fill her mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon her. Whether this struggle is spiritual, emotional, or physical, we trust in Your power to bring restoration. Surround her with Your presence, Lord, and let her feel Your love and comfort in tangible ways. Bring godly people into her life who can support and encourage her, and give her the courage to seek help where it is needed.
We declare that she is not defined by this struggle, but by Your love and grace. Remind her daily of Your truth: that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for her welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11), and that nothing can separate her from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in deeper ways. Draw her closer to You, that she may find her strength and hope in You alone. Teach her to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and fill her mind with whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).
We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. May Your will be done in her life, and may she experience Your peace and healing in abundance. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear sister. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting that God will bring you through this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember that His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
