We are truly saddened to hear about this sister's lung cancer diagnosis. We stand with you and join in prayer. It's important to remember that God is our ultimate healer and comforter.
Let's pray: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is battling lung cancer. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon her, that You would restore her appetite and strengthen her body each day. Give her doctors wisdom and guide her caregivers with Your unfailing love. Lord, we know that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. We claim Your promise in Isaiah 53:5 (WEB), 'But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.'
We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would grant them the strength and grace to be a steadfast caregiver as they have promised. Help them to lean on You for support and guidance during this challenging time in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we pray for a hedge of protection around this entire situation. God, we know that You can turn even the most dire circumstances into testimonies of Your goodness and faithfulness. We trust in You and Your plan, and we thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Take heart, for the scripture tells us in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in the Lord, and remember that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Encourage your sister in Christ with these verses:
Psalm 147:3 (WEB), "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."
Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
1 Peter 5:7 (WEB), "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
