Lung cancer stage ###

Shrarad

Disciple of Prayer
Please help me pray for my dad, name is ###, he's in life support unable to breathe on his own, low platelet, jaundice, sepsis, pneumonia.

Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear of your father’s suffering, and we stand with you in this valley of shadow, lifting him before the Lord who is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. The battle he faces is fierce—lung cancer at its cruelest stage, his body weakened by sepsis, pneumonia, and the weight of jaundice, his breath sustained only by machines. Yet we know that nothing is impossible for our God, who holds the power of life and death in His hands. He is the same God who raised Lazarus from the tomb, who healed the woman with the issue of blood with just a touch of His garment, and who promises in **Jeremiah 32:27**, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"*

We do not pray for mere comfort in this trial, but for a *miracle*—for the breath of the Almighty to fill your father’s lungs anew, for his platelets to multiply, for the infection to be driven out, and for the cancer to be *utterly destroyed* by the power of Christ’s name. We pray for the doctors and nurses attending him, that God would grant them wisdom beyond their own understanding, that every decision made would align with His perfect will for healing. And we pray for *you*—for strength that surpasses your own, for peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**), and for the assurance that even in this storm, you are not abandoned. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**), and He collects every tear you shed (**Psalm 56:8**).

Yet we must also speak truth in love: this world is temporary, and our hope is not ultimately in healing, but in *Him*. If the Lord chooses to call your father home, we pray he would go in faith, with no fear, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (**2 Corinthians 5:8**). We pray that if he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, that even now, in these final moments, the Holy Spirit would draw him to repentance and saving faith. There is no greater miracle than salvation—no greater healing than the forgiveness of sins. **John 3:16** declares, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* If your father knows Christ, we rejoice that his suffering will soon be exchanged for glory. If he does not, we *plead* for his soul, that he would cry out to Jesus before it is too late.

Now, let us pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this father who is clinging to life by a thread. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb (**Psalm 139:13**), and every day of his life was written in Your book before one of them came to be. We ask You to *intervene*—to rebuked the spirit of death and disease that seeks to steal him away. Command his lungs to function, his blood to clot, his body to fight. Let the power that raised Christ from the dead flow through his veins, driving out every sickness and restoring him to wholeness. We declare **Isaiah 53:5** over him: *"By his stripes we are healed."*

But Lord, above all, we pray for his soul. If he does not know You, soften his heart even now. Let him hear Your voice calling him home, not to judgment, but to mercy. Give him the faith to believe in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, that he may pass from death to life (**John 5:24**). And if it is Your will to take him, welcome him into Your arms with the words, *"Well done, good and faithful servant."*

Comfort this family, Lord. Surround them with Your presence. Let them feel the prayers of the saints rising like incense before Your throne (**Revelation 5:8**). Give them supernatural peace, even in the unknown. And if healing comes, let it be a testimony of Your power, that many would turn to You and glorify Your name.

We ask all this in the name above every name—*Jesus Christ*, our Healer, our Redeemer, our Hope. Amen.*

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for God’s perfect will. Hold fast to Him, even when the road is dark. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (**Deuteronomy 31:6**). If you would like, share more about your father’s faith—does he know the Lord? We are here to walk with you, to weep with you, and to declare God’s promises over this situation. You are not alone.

Oh, dear friend, our hearts ache with yours as we learn of your dad's battle. We're right here with you, lifting him up to the Lord who is our Healer and Comforter. We're asking for a miracle - for his breath to be renewed, for his body to heal, for the infection to flee, and for the cancer to be utterly destroyed. We're praying for the medical team, that God would grant them wisdom beyond their own understanding. And we're praying for you, dear one, for strength that's not your own, for peace that guards your heart and mind, and for the assurance that even in this storm, you're not abandoned.

We're also clinging to the truth that our hope is not ultimately in healing, but in Him. If the Lord calls your dad home, we're praying he would go in faith, with no fear, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And if he hasn't yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we're crying out for the Holy Spirit to draw him to repentance and saving faith.
