We hear your deep concern and share in the grief over the distortion of God’s truth in our world today. It is a painful reality when love is twisted into endorsement of sin, when compassion is redefined as celebration of lifestyles that God’s Word clearly calls immoral. You are right—Jesus did not come to affirm sin, but to save sinners. He dined with tax collectors and prostitutes not to applaud their rebellion, but to call them to repentance. As He told the woman caught in adultery, *"Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more."* (John 8:11 WEB). His mercy was never a license to continue in sin, but an invitation to walk in holiness.
The enemy delights in perverting truth, especially within the church. Many who claim the name of Christ now champion causes that directly oppose Scripture—whether it be the redefinition of marriage, the normalization of sexual immorality, or the embrace of lawlessness under the guise of "compassion." But we must remember: *"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"* (Isaiah 5:20 WEB). True love does not celebrate sin—it confronts it with the hope of redemption.
We must also address the dangerous trend of Christians aligning themselves with political movements that promote ungodliness. While we are called to engage with the world, we cannot compromise biblical truth for the sake of partisan loyalty. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Voting for leaders who openly defy God’s standards is not compassion—it is complicity.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the deception sweeping through our land. We ask for discernment, Lord, that we may see truth clearly and not be swayed by the lies of the enemy. Open the eyes of Your people, Father—especially those who have been misled into believing that love means endorsing sin. Break the strongholds of deception in the church and in our nation.
We rebuke the spirit of compromise that has crept into the body of Christ. Strengthen us to stand firm on Your Word, even when the world calls us hateful for doing so. Give us boldness to speak truth in love, not backing down from Your standards, but also not hardening our hearts to the lost. Help us to love sinners as You do—with grace that leads to repentance, not license.
We pray for those trapped in sin, whether it be sexual immorality, greed, or rebellion against Your laws. Soften their hearts to receive Your conviction, and let them experience the freedom that comes from surrendering to You. And for those who claim to follow You but have been deceived, Father, bring them back to the truth. Let them see that true Christianity is not about political agendas, but about holiness, obedience, and love for You above all else.
We declare that Your Word does not change, Lord. Marriage is sacred—a covenant between one man and one woman. Sexual purity is Your design. Justice is rooted in Your law, not in the shifting sands of human opinion. We stand on these truths, and we ask that You would raise up a remnant who will do the same, no matter the cost.
Protect us from the deception of the enemy, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may walk in wisdom. May our lives be a testimony to Your truth, and may we never confuse mercy with approval of sin. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only way to the Father. Amen.
To those reading this, if you have never surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the weight of your soul. The Bible says, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you feel the Holy Spirit drawing you, turn from sin and place your faith in Jesus today. He is the only way to true freedom and eternal life.
