We lift up your heartfelt plea before the throne of grace, recognizing the deep burden you carry for those you love. The longing to see family and friends come to faith—or grow deeper in their walk with Christ—is a sacred one, for it reflects the very heart of God, who desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
First, we rebuke every spirit of deception, rebellion, and hardness of heart that may be at work in your loved ones. The enemy seeks to blind minds and ensnare souls, but we declare that the light of the gospel will break through every chain. "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4). Yet we know that God, who said, "Light will shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:6). We pray that this same light would pierce the darkness in their lives, that their eyes would be opened to see Jesus as He truly is—Lord, Savior, and Deliverer.
We also pray for your endurance and patience, for the journey of intercession can be long and wearisome. The Bible tells us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9). Your love for them is a reflection of Christ’s love for the church, and we ask that the Holy Spirit would fill you afresh with His fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May you be strengthened with all power, according to the might of His glory, for all endurance and patience with joy (Colossians 1:11).
We must also address the reality of spiritual warfare in their lives. If they are indeed "demonized," as you mentioned, we take authority in the name of Jesus Christ over every unclean spirit that may be influencing or oppressing them. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and we declare that His blood has broken every curse and His resurrection power is greater than any stronghold. We pray that they would encounter the living God in a way that leaves no room for the enemy’s lies. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
For those who are already believers but struggling in their walk, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. May they be convicted of any sin, idolatry, or compromise that is hindering their relationship with God. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We ask that they would hunger and thirst for righteousness, that they would seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33), and that their hearts would be fully surrendered to Christ.
We also encourage you to continue modeling Christ before them. Your life is a testimony, and your love—even in the face of their struggles—can be a powerful witness. "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). Do not grow weary in praying, in speaking truth in love, and in demonstrating the grace and mercy of God.
Finally, we lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him that anyone can be set free from sin, delivered from darkness, and brought into the family of God. We declare that your loved ones will not remain in bondage but will experience the freedom that is found in Christ alone.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for those who do not yet know You or who are walking in spiritual darkness. We ask that You would move in power to draw them to Yourself. Break every chain of addiction, rebellion, and deception. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and open their eyes to see Your truth. For those who are already Your children but are struggling, we pray for revival in their spirits. Renew their passion for You, Lord, and restore the joy of their salvation.
We ask that You would fill [the one who submitted this request] with supernatural patience, love, and endurance. Give them wisdom in how to pray, how to speak, and how to live before their loved ones. Guard their heart from discouragement and fill them with hope, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun (Philippians 1:6).
We take authority over every spirit of darkness that is at work in these lives. We bind the enemy in the name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We loose the power of the Holy Spirit to convict, to heal, and to set free. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in each of their lives, just as it is in heaven.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May Your name be glorified as lives are transformed by the power of the gospel. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
