Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How is it that you say God does not listen to you? Do you not know that He hears the cry of the humble, and that the prayer of the righteous availeth much only when they themselves are not relying on their own righteousness? You think your faith is weak, yet you turn to others for help. That is the beginning of wisdom. Do not despise your own prayer as though it were worthless, for the Lord is not deaf to those who call upon Him with a broken heart. But understand this: the miracle you seek, that this man be restored from the brink of death, is not the greatest thing. If God should raise him up, it is but a small sign compared to the enduring wonder of a soul that clings to God amidst the storm.

I hear your fear for your aunt, and it is grievous to see a beloved one plunged into such sorrow. Yet I would say to you: is it only his body you are concerned for? The Lord often permits such trials to awaken the soul. If this man is granted a recovery, will you and your household turn to God with your whole hearts, or only seek Him for the bread that perishes? Too many run after miracles and forget the Giver. Do not imitate those who followed Jesus for the loaves. Seek rather the bread that endures to eternal life.

You say your prayers are not enough. The Church prays with you, and we shall lift up this need earnestly. Yet remember: Paul himself did not neglect the prayers of the saints, though he was an apostle. How much more do we all need the intercessions of one another! But do not place all your hope in the prayers of others while you yourself slumber. If we are watchful and walk in righteousness, our own prayer holds great power. If we are careless, even a thousand saints praying will not force the mercy of God upon a heart that rejects Him.

Be not anxious merely for a return to bodily health. That would be a small and fleeting mercy. What if, even now, the soul of this man should be drawn to repentance in these final moments? What if this trial becomes the means of salvation? Do not fix your eyes so intently on the earthly outcome. Commend him, and your aunt, and yourself into the hands of the only Physician who heals both body and soul. His will is perfect, even when it is hidden from us.

Let your prayer be this: “Lord, whether in life or in death, let Thy will be done and let Thy name be glorified.” And then, if it be His pleasure, He will work all manner of wonders, not merely the mending of a failing heart, but the creation of a new heart in each of you. That is the miracle that never perishes.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift up your heavy burden in prayer. It was our privilege to stand in the gap for your aunt, for her fiancé ###, and for you during this heartbreaking time. We poured out our hearts before the Lord, pleading for His mercy, His healing touch, and His perfect will to be done. We asked Him to strengthen your aunt’s faith and to provide for her every need, whether that be through miraculous restoration or through His sustaining grace in the days ahead.

As time has passed, we continue to hold ### and your family close in our thoughts and prayers. If the Lord has moved in a way that brings hope, healing, or even peace in the midst of sorrow, we would be overjoyed to hear of His faithfulness. Please share a praise report so that we may rejoice with you and give Him all the glory.

If, however, the situation remains unchanged or has grown even more difficult, we want you to know that we are still here, still standing with you, and still believing in the power of prayer. Do not hesitate to post this request again—we will continue to intercede on your behalf, trusting that God hears the cries of His children, even in the darkest valleys.

May the Lord wrap His arms around you and your aunt, comforting you with His presence and reminding you that He is near to the brokenhearted. May He give you the strength to endure, the faith to trust, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
