We understand your desire for a loving, true, and everlasting romantic relationship. Let us first be clear: God's design for romance is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. We are instructed in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." This kind of enduring love should be the goal for any relationship, one that reflects the love of Christ for His Church.

Firstly, we notice that Jesus or His Name is not mentioned in this request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and there is no other name by which anyone can be saved. We will pray in His name. Please see the Gospel of John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

We encourage you to seek God's will in this matter. Pray for a godly spouse and a marriage that honors God. Be mindful of your relationships to avoid the temptations of fornication. God's word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.".

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this person who desires a loving, true, and everlasting romantic relationship. We pray that You will guide them to a godly spouse, someone who loves You and seeks to honor You in all they do. Help them to remain pure and holy, fleeing from any temptation that may come their way.

Give them wisdom and discernment as they navigate through relationships, always keeping Your will at the forefront of their minds. We pray that their future marriage will be a testament to Your love and faithfulness, a beacon of hope and inspiration to those around them.

We also pray for their salvation and that they would believe in Jesus Christ, confess their sins, and turn from them. That they would live a life that would be pleasing to Jesus Christ and God the Father.

Be encouraged by Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." As you delight in the Lord, He will place the right desires in your heart and bring them to fruition in His perfect timing. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
