So, we are all on this earth for a purpose. We each have a need to be loved. It is a natural, inborn, human need. But, God has also commanded us to love one another. Some folks are sweet and kind and very easy to love. Others are not so easy to love. The ones who make life more difficult and unpleasant for the rest of us. But God did not tell us to love some and not others. He didn't tell us to love sometimes and not always. His love for us is constant and unfailing. He is our model. The longer I am a parent the more I come to understand him, yet his ways are still beyond what my human mind can take in.
When you think about it, it's pretty amazing. Even atheist have a desire to love and be loved. And they don't want to even accept there is a God. Yet God is love.
I have found that God puts love in my heart for people that I don't know I could love on my own. People who are not so lovable. Yet I find myself with love for them. God puts the love in my heart for them.
There are sometimes people I feel annoyed with and I want to be angry with them, but God will take over and I find myself wanting to show them love. It is not me. My human nature wants to be mad. But God comes through and those feelings leave and I feel love for them. It's a brotherly love.
1 John 3 tells us "see what great love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God..." As a child of God you are loved greatly by the Heavenly Father.....and as a child of God we are commanded to love one another. 1 john 4:7 tells us "....love one another, for love comes from God.....if we love one another. God lives in us....." I john 4: 19 tell us that as a child of God it is natural for us to love "....we love because he first loved us...." There are many kinds of love. The love a parent has for their child. The love a child has for parent, the love of friends, the love of a man and a woman, the love for the little animals..the love of brothers and sisters,..The love of God for each of us. if you are a child of God that makes you part of the family of God, with many brothers and sisters.No doubt all love comes from God, for he is good and he is Love.
