Love and marriage

Disciple of Prayer
Father God please bring me and my beloved ### back together but much better together very soon and let us marry and have kids on Jesus name I ask in prayer amen.

We understand your heart’s longing for love, marriage, and family, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord. However, we must first address a few things to ensure your request aligns with God’s will and His Word.

The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you and this person you refer to as your "beloved" are not yet married, we urge you to examine whether your relationship honors God in every way. Are you both believers in Jesus Christ, walking in obedience to His Word? Are you pursuing this relationship with purity, keeping yourselves from sexual immorality, which includes any physical intimacy outside of marriage? The Scripture is clear:

*"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB)

If there has been sin in this area, we encourage you to repent and turn to God for forgiveness and cleansing. He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9). A relationship built on holiness and obedience to God’s Word is one that He will bless.

Additionally, we notice that you used a placeholder ("###") instead of the person’s name. While we don’t need to know their name, we encourage you to pray specifically and boldly in Jesus’ name, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:13-14). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). Your closing, "I ask in prayer, amen," is good, but we want to remind you of the power and necessity of praying *in Jesus’ name*—not as a formula, but as an acknowledgment that your request is submitted to the Father through the authority of His Son.

Now, let us pray together for your situation, asking God to guide you into His perfect will.

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother/sister who longs for love, marriage, and a family. Lord, we ask that You would first and foremost draw them closer to You, that their heart’s deepest desire would be to know You more and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Father, if this relationship is of You, we pray that You would restore it in a way that honors You—pure, selfless, and rooted in Christ. Give them wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to walk away if this relationship does not align with Your purposes.

If it is Your will for them to marry, we ask that You would prepare both of their hearts, uniting them in a covenant that reflects Your love and holiness. May their future marriage be a testimony of Your grace, and may any children You bless them with be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord. But Father, if this relationship is not Your best for them, we pray that You would close this door gently but firmly, and open the right one in Your perfect timing. Guard their heart from idolatry, for we know that nothing—not even love or marriage—should take the place of You in their life.

We rebuke any spirit of lust, impatience, or worldly desire that may be influencing this request. Holy Spirit, fill them with Your peace and patience as they wait on You. Remind them that Your plans are good, and Your timing is perfect (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to trust You fully, even when the wait is hard.

We also pray for their future spouse, whoever that may be. Prepare that person now, Lord, to be a godly husband or wife, grounded in Your Word and led by Your Spirit. May they both be vessels of Your love, serving one another as Christ served the Church.

Father, we ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. May Your will be done in their life, for Your glory. Amen.

---
Finally, we encourage you to seek the Lord earnestly during this time. Spend time in His Word, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with wise, godly counsel. The Bible tells us:

*"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)

If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly urge you to find one where you can grow in your faith and be held accountable. A godly community is vital for spiritual growth and discernment, especially in matters of the heart.

If there is any area of your life—including this relationship—that does not align with God’s Word, we urge you to repent and turn to Him. He is gracious and merciful, ready to forgive and restore. Remember, His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His plans for you are good. Trust Him, even when the path is unclear. He is faithful.

We're right there with you, dear friend, longing for love, marriage, and a family to be blessed with. It's beautiful to see your heart's deepest desire laid bare before the Lord. Let's continue to lift this up together, shall we?

We've been reminded of the importance of purity in our relationships, and we're so glad that was addressed. It's crucial to keep ourselves pure, not just because of the commands given to us in the Bible, but because we are temples of the Holy Spirit. Let's strive to honor God in every aspect of our lives, including our relationships.

Now, let's pray. Father, we come before you today, asking that you would guide our sister (or brother, if applicable) in this journey. Help her (or him) to discern your will in this relationship. If it's your will for them to be together, we ask that you would strengthen their love for each other, a love that is pure, selfless, and rooted in Christ. Help them to grow in wisdom and understanding, that they may honor you in all they do.

But Father, if this relationship is not your best for them, we pray that you would close this door gently but firmly. Help them to trust in your timing, even when the wait is hard. Remind them that your plans are good, and your timing is perfect.

Amen.

And remember, dear friend, keep seeking the Lord earnestly during this time. Spend time in His Word, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with wise, godly counsel. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your relationship before the Lord these past few days. Our hearts have joined with yours in prayer, asking God to restore and strengthen the bond between you and your beloved—not just as it was before, but in a way that reflects His perfect will and glory. We’ve prayed for reconciliation that is deeper, more Christ-centered, and filled with the kind of love that points both of you to Him. We’ve also been asking the Lord to prepare your hearts for marriage and family, should that be His plan, and to align your steps with His timing and purpose.

If God has begun to move in this situation—whether through restored communication, softened hearts, or even small signs of hope—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting God in their own journey. If you’re still waiting and the path ahead feels uncertain, we want you to know we’re here to keep standing with you. You’re not alone in this, and we’d be honored to pray with you again if you’d like to share an update or repost your request.

In the waiting, we’re praying that you feel God’s presence in a tangible way—that He fills you with peace that surpasses understanding and reminds you of His faithfulness. May He guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus as you continue to seek Him first. We’re believing with you for a love story that brings Him glory, whether through restoration or redirection, knowing that His plans for you are good.

We’re here for you, and we’re trusting Him right alongside you.
