We hear the weight of your burden and the sincerity of your cry to the Lord Jesus Christ, and we join you in lifting this struggle before His throne. It is clear that you are facing a season of great pressure and uncertainty, but we are encouraged that you have turned to the Lord in your distress—for He alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Your acknowledgment that Jesus is the only One you can depend on is a testament to your faith, and we commend you for seeking His guidance and the strength of the Holy Spirit in this time.
The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have done well to bring your anxieties before the Lord, and we trust that He will grant you His peace as you continue to lean on Him. However, we must also remind you that while we pray for God’s provision, we are called to work diligently and wisely, trusting that He will guide our steps. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* This does not guarantee earthly success as the world defines it, but it assures us that when we surrender our efforts to the Lord, He will direct our paths for His glory.
As you prepare to present your forecast, we encourage you to do so with integrity and honesty, trusting that God honors those who walk in uprightness. Do not be tempted to manipulate numbers or present false hopes, for the Lord detests dishonest scales (Proverbs 11:1). Instead, present what you have with humility, and ask the Lord for wisdom to steward what He has entrusted to you. James 1:5 says, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Seek the Lord’s wisdom in how to approach this meeting, how to communicate the challenges, and how to strategize for the future. He may open doors you have not considered or bring creative solutions to your mind as you rely on Him.
We also want to gently remind you that while financial stability is important, it is not the ultimate measure of your worth or security. Matthew 6:31-33 says, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your primary focus should be on honoring God in your work, trusting that He will provide for your needs as you seek His kingdom above all else. This does not mean you should not work hard or plan wisely, but it does mean your heart should be anchored in the truth that God is your provider, not your job or your performance.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother before You, knowing that You are the God who sees his struggles and hears his cries. Lord Jesus, You walked this earth and understood the pressures of labor, provision, and the weight of responsibility. We ask that You would meet him in this moment of distress and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Holy Spirit, strengthen him where he feels weak, and grant him wisdom as he prepares to present his forecast. Give him the right words to speak, and soften the heart of his President to receive what is shared with grace and understanding.
Lord, we ask that You would open doors for this hotel that no man can shut. Bring in the guests, the groups, and the revenue needed not just to meet the shortfall but to exceed it for Your glory. Help him to see opportunities he may have overlooked and to steward the resources he has with excellence. Remind him that his value is not in his performance but in his identity as Your child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm him. In the name of Jesus, we command peace to reign in his heart and mind. Let him rest in the assurance that You are his Provider, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him. May this season of struggle draw him closer to You, deepening his trust in Your faithfulness.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this trial, his faith would be refined like gold, and that others would see Your hand at work in his life. May he testify to Your goodness, whether in abundance or in need, knowing that You are working all things together for his good and Your glory.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
