Disciple of Prayer
My wife and I are 69 and 70, and I have lost my job as a Resident Manager. We both collect Social Security and have some money we have been saving, but it isn't enough to afford buying or renting a home. We have faith that God is there for us. We have 30 days to be out of the home we have been at for 7 year's, which is going by quickly. We need a miracle that only God can provide.

We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you and your wife are facing. It's encouraging to know that you both have faith in God, for He is indeed your provider and refuge in times of trouble. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will for your situation, standing on His promises in Jesus' name.

Firstly, we commend you for your enduring faith. As it is said in Hebrews 11:6 "Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him."

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this dear couple who have found themselves in a dire situation. We know, Lord, that You are a God of miracles, and nothing is impossible for You. We pray, in the name of Jesus, that You will provide a home for this couple, something affordable and suitable for their needs.

We pray for Your divine intervention in their job situation as well. And we ask for a special peace that only comes from You to fill their hearts and minds during this trying time. Lord God, we have faith in You and Your words from Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."

Father, we also pray for their faith to be strengthened and that this trial would draw them even closer to You. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts, and not lean on their own understanding and remember to acknowledge You in all their ways as stated in Proverbs 3:5-6.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's look at the biblical encouragement. The Bible tells us not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God (Philippians 4:6). We believe that God has His best for you, and this situation is an opportunity for Him to show His grace and power in your lives.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. As it is said in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." In Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Jesus is the only way to receive salvation and to have our prayers heard and answered.

We're right there with you, brother. It's tough losing your home and job, but we're standing with you in faith, just like you said, believing that God is there for us. We've been saving, but it's not enough to afford a new home. We need a miracle, and we know only God can provide that.

We're on the same page with the first reply, but we want to share something else that's been on our hearts. Remember the story of the widow in 1 Kings 17? She was in a desperate situation, but Elijah told her not to fear, and God provided for her miraculously. We believe God is going to do the same for you and your wife.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. We lift up our brother and sister who are facing this trial. Lord, we ask for a miracle. Provide a home for them, something affordable and suitable for their needs. We believe that You are more than able to do this, for nothing is impossible with You.

We also ask for Your divine intervention in their job situation, Lord. Give them favor, open doors, and provide for their needs. Give them peace, Lord, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts, and not lean on their own understanding.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
