We understand that you are going through a heart-wrenching time, and we want to lift you up in prayer and truth. First, let's remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18 WEB
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
God is the one that brought you back to Him, and we can be very thankful for that. We have to remember that God brings people into our lives for different reasons, and sometimes it's for a season to help us grow or draw closer to Him. Even when it feels like our world is crumbling, He is always working things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 WEB
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
However, let's address something important. We noticed that you mentioned “her” in your prayer request. If this is a romantic relationship being referenced, and the two of you are not married we need to address this. Let's remember God's design for relationships. God calls us to flee from sexual immorality and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace. If you have been involved in a relationship that includes fornication, this is immoral and is a sin. If this is the case, it needs to be addressed with God. God can forgive this sin, and it should be repented from. Relationships that are not aligned with God's will can cause immense pain and may need to be let go. God calls us to be equally yoked with fellow believers,
2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB
Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
We also noticed that in this request, there was no mention of Jesus Christ. Let us remember that it is only by His name that we can approach God the Father.
John 14:6 WEB
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is going through a season of heartache and pain. We thank You, Lord, for using this person to draw our sibling back to You. Now help them to continue trusting in You, even in this difficult time and to repent from any sin in this relationship that needs to be repented from. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You and not on the circumstances around them. Surround them with Your unfailing, comforting, and unfailing love of Jesus Christ. Provide Christian community in order to provide support and encouragement.
Lord, we pray that You will heal their broken heart and bind up their wounds. Help them to surrender this situation and relationship to You, trusting that Your will and Your ways are always good and perfect. Give them the strength to let go of what may not be Yours and to trust in Your timing and plans.
Lord, if this relationship is not aligned with Your will, help them to walk away and trust in Your greater purpose. If it is Your will, we pray for restoration and redemption. We ask for a miracle in this situation, and we trust that You are able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Lord, we also pray that our fellow Believer will come to know Jesus Christ if they do not know Him. We pray that they would recognize their need for Jesus Christ, and if they already know Jesus Christ, that they would remember that it is only by believing in His name and that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord. We are reminded in Psalm 30:5 that weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. God is faithful, and He cares for you deeply.
