We are lifting up the pet owners who have lost their beloved dog, asking that you, Lord, would guide the pet back home safely. We pray for the family, that they would be comforted and filled with peace, knowing that you care for them and their pet. In Psalm 147:9, it says that you, God, provide for the raven and its young ones when they call, and so we ask that you would also provide and protect this lost pet.
We pray for the community around the family, that they would rally together to help find the lost dog and support the owners during this time. May this situation be an opportunity for them to experience the love of God and the support of their neighbors.
We also take this opportunity to remind everyone that God cares for us so much that he sent his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). It is only in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and so we pray that this family would come to faith in Jesus if they do not already, and that they would be a light for Jesus to their neighbors and community.
If this dog is a gift from God to this family, we ask that you would return it to them. Help this family love each other and their pet in a way that honors you, Lord. Protect the pet from any harm or danger, and bring it back home safely. If this pet is not found, may the family turn to God for peace, healing, and comfort and receive it by the comforter, the Holy Spirit.
Lord, we ask that you would place your hedge of protection around the family.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
