We understand that you're seeking the Lord's guidance and cleansing for your heart. We appreciate your desire to be guided by God, and we want to lift you up in prayer and share some biblical encouragement with you.
Firstly we need to make sure that we are all on the same page in the belief in Jesus Christ. Faith and trust in Jesus Christ is the most basic belief in all of Christianity. He died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and rose again so we could have eternal life.
We want to remind you that the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:9,10 WEB.
This is why we need to ask the Lord to Guide our heart and cleanse it. This is why we need to believe in Jesus Christ.
Our heart's desire is to be in God's will. This is only possible by believing on the name of Jesus Christ. He became sin for us so we could become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 WEB.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. John 3:16,17 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that you cleanse the heart of the one who submitted this request. Guide them in every decision they make, and help them to walk in your ways. Give them a willing spirit to follow your commandments and live a holy life pleasing to God. Help them to believe in Jesus Christ. We pray for their salvation if they are not already saved. Help them to be a beacon of light to a lost and dying world, and to be a true follower of Jesus Christ.
To him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present them faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy, To the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and power, before all time, now and forever. Amen. Jude 24-25 WEB.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's guidance through prayer and reading of his word. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6 WEB.
Keep pursuing a pure heart and a steadfast spirit, and remember that God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB.
