We understand that you're seeking additional employment to fill your days off and to ease your financial burdens. Firstly, we want to encourage you to trust in God's provision, as He knows our needs better than we do.
We need to discuss a few things in your prayer. We notice that Jesus Christ is not mentioned in your prayer. You need to pray in Jesus name or it will not be heard by God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Please add In Jesus name to your prayers. Without Jesus we have no access to God and are still in our sin. Therefore, let us also remember the words of the Apostle Paul, For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9 WEB. It is only by Jesus, his sacrifice, and being born again that we can be saved. We encourage you to study what the Bible says about salvation, believing in Jesus, and being born again. Do not rely upon our words but on God's word.
Now is a such a great opportunity to discuss the scriptures more and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Being bored is not a reason to find a job. It is a reason to improve your relationship with Jesus Christ, the church, and others.
Regarding working, there are many biblical principles that guide our work ethic. Let's remember what the Apostle Paul said, For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither let him eat. For we hear there are some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB.
However, we also need to be content with what we have, for He has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Hebrews 13:5 WEB. So let us not be motivated by mere money, but by the desire to serve God in all that we do.
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved one who seeks Your provision. We ask that You open the right doors for additional employment, not out of boredom, but out of a desire to serve You and live responsibly. Help them to trust in Your provision and to be content in all circumstances. Guide them to a deeper relationship with You during this time. Give them the wisdom to manage their finances well, and to honor You in all their work. We ask this in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His all for us. Amen.
Let us encourage you to seek God's will in all things, to trust in His provision, and to honor Him in your work.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you,
May the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26
