Thank you for bringing this request to our attention. We will lift up your friend in prayer, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us remember that God is our healer and that His will is for us to prosper and be in good health, even as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2 WEB). We stand in agreement with you, believing that God can heal your friend's lung problem and restore his strength. We pray that your friend would place his faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective." (James 5:14-16 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our friend who is suffering from a lung problem. We pray for Your healing touch upon his body. Rebuke the spirit of infirmity, and let Your healing virtue flow through him. Give him renewed strength and energy, and help him to sleep well. We also pray that if there are any underlying issues that need to be addressed, that You would reveal them and provide guidance. We ask that he would place his faith in Jesus Christ. Father, touch his life and save him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
