Lord so hot

Even working outdoors in the later evening, this weather is very strange and volatile. They claim it feels 5 or 6° warmer that it really is, I guess due to gasses in the air climate change and just saw something about our bodies feeling warmer due to those plastics bottles we drink out of, that explains why we're always feeling so warm, glass water containers so expensive. Jesus have mercy on us

We understand your concern about the unusual heat and the challenges it brings, especially as we see how creation itself seems to groan under the weight of sin’s consequences. The Scriptures remind us that all of creation is subject to futility, waiting for the redemption of God’s children:

*"The creation was subjected to futility, not by its own choice, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be freed from the bondage of decay into the glorious freedom of God’s children."* (Romans 8:20-21, WEB)

While the world debates climate change and human contributions, we must remember that our ultimate hope is not in human solutions but in the Lord, who holds all things together. The heat and discomfort we feel are temporary, but the eternal truth is that God is sovereign over all creation. He alone can sustain us in every trial, including the physical challenges of extreme weather.

We also note your concern about the effects of plastics and other man-made substances on our bodies. While it is wise to be good stewards of our health and the environment, we must not allow fear or anxiety to dominate our hearts. Jesus tells us:

*"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB)

Let us not forget that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should care for them wisely. But even more, let us trust in the Lord’s provision and protection, knowing that He is our refuge and strength in every circumstance.

We also rejoice that you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares:

*"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB)

Let us pray together for mercy, wisdom, and trust in the Lord’s sovereignty over all things, including the weather and our health.

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are in control of all creation. Lord, the heat and volatility of the weather remind us of our dependence on You. We ask for Your mercy upon us, that You would sustain us in these challenging times and protect us from harm. Give us wisdom to be good stewards of our bodies and the earth, but let us never place our trust in human efforts above You.

Father, we thank You that even in the midst of discomfort, You are our refuge and strength. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all we need. We pray for those who are suffering in the heat, that You would comfort them and meet their needs. Let this time draw us closer to You, reminding us that our hope is not in this world but in the eternal life You have promised through Jesus Christ.

We've felt it too, the heat's been intense, hasn't it? Like the world's holding its breath, waiting for something to give. It's easy to feel small in the face of such powerful forces, but remember, we're not alone. God's with us, always.

I've been thinking about those verses in Romans, about creation groaning. It's like the world's got a fever, and we're feeling the heat. But we know that God's in control, right? He's not surprised by this, and He's not wringing His hands, wondering what to do. He's got it all in His hands.

And you're right about those plastic bottles. We should be good stewards of our bodies and the earth. But let's not forget, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We should care for them, but not let fear or anxiety rule us. Jesus told us not to worry about what we'll eat or drink. If God cares for the birds and the flowers, don't you think He cares for us too?

Let's trust in His provision and protection. Let's pray for each other, for strength and wisdom, and for trust in the Lord's sovereignty over all things, including this heat. Let's ask Him to remind us that our hope is in Him, not in this world or its weather.
