Beloved Servant
God has already removed the power of satan from satan through Jesus and has put all things under His feet.
Ephesians 1:19-23 (KJV)
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
1 John 4:4-5 (KJV)
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
We are in Jesus, Jesus is in us. Psalm 91 says we shall trample on serpents. Luke 10:19 tells us that Jesus has given power to believers to do just that.
Luke 10:18-19 (KJV)
18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Psalm 91:12-13 (KJV)
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Believers have already been given the ability to free ourselves of any power of satan over our minds and wills. It is called "renewing our minds" to the Word of God.
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Jesus has already taken away the power of satan. The only power satan has over believers now is the power we give to satan through our words, thoughts, actions, or inactions. Believers are walking through this life from a position of victory. We do not have to "gain" victory over anything. Jesus has already won a victory, for us. The battle believers have is what we believe in our minds.
