We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is experiencing unusual and concerning symptoms in their body. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed us in our mother’s womb and knows every part of our being. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved child of Yours. Lord, You see the tingling sensations, the discomfort, and the lingering effects of the cerebral infarction. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing is already provided (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and every attack of the enemy against this body, for it is written, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we pray for wisdom and clarity for the doctors who will examine this one. Guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions so that they may accurately diagnose and treat what is affecting this body. Let there be a reason found, a solution provided, and a path to restoration. We trust in Your promise that "if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach" (James 1:5). May the medical professionals be instruments of Your healing power.
We also lift up this whole being—body, soul, and spirit—to You, Lord. You are the God who restores, who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We ask that You would renew strength, bring peace to the mind, and fill this one with hope and faith in Your promises. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, especially in moments of fear or uncertainty.
Lord, we know that physical afflictions can sometimes be a reminder of our frailty and our need for You. We pray that this season would draw this one closer to You, deepening their trust in Your sovereignty and love. Help them to cast every anxiety upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). May they find comfort in Your Word, which says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
We also want to gently remind this dear one that healing comes through the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. If this one has not yet placed their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and we encourage them to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical.
Father, we stand in the gap for this one, declaring Your healing power over their life. We speak life to every cell, every nerve, and every part of their body. We declare that this one is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we pray that every function of their body would align with Your perfect design. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the victory that is already theirs through Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
