In these troubling times, we too cry out to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His protection and peace. We are reminded of His words in Matthew 24:6-7 WEB, "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren't troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." Though these times may be difficult, they are not outside of God's control or knowledge.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and intervention. You tell us in Psalm 91 WEB, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Therefore, we take refuge in You, Lord, trusting that You will cover us with Your feathers and that under Your wings, we will find refuge.
Father, we ask that You would put an end to the wars and rumors of wars that plague our world. We pray for peace and for the hearts of men to turn towards You. We know that true peace can only be found in Jesus Christ, for it is written in John 14:27 WEB, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."
Lord, we also lift up those who are affected by the rioting and unrest. We pray for their safety and comfort, and we ask that You would bring calm to our cities and nations. We know that You are a God of order and not of confusion.
Finally, Father, we pray for our leaders, that You would guide them and give them wisdom in these challenging times. We ask that You would soften their hearts and turn them towards You, so that our nations may be blessed.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that our God is sovereign and that He hears our prayers. Keep trusting in Him, and let us continue to pray for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Remember Jesus' Words in John 16:33 WEB, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
