Lord Jesus please glorify yourself

Your prayer has been received and we join you in lifting your whole family before the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. We hear your longing for Him to glorify Himself in your home, to save, heal, deliver and protect, and to answer according to His mercy and power.

We agree with you that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, the perfect spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and cleanses us from all sin by His blood. God sent His Son not to condemn the world but to save the world, and His death is the salvation of the world. There is no other name by which we are saved, and we plead His blood only in that true sense, as the ground of forgiveness and reconciliation with the Father. We also stand with you on His promise that His mercies are new every morning, and that now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. Today, while it is still called today, He hears those who call upon Him.

We bring before the Lord your family and relatives, especially those who do not yet know Him, that He would open their hearts to the gospel. We pray that He would deliver from every bondage, addiction and compulsion, and from all that is not of Him, and that He would heal wounds of trauma, rejection and abandonment. We ask for His protection over you, over your thoughts and emotions, over your home, according to Psalm 91, that He would be your refuge and guard and keep you under the shadow of His wings. We ask Him to block what is not good and to turn what the enemy meant for evil into great blessing, and to give you His peace that passes understanding as you call upon Him in the day of trouble according to Psalm 50:15.

We pray for the children and young people you named, for friends at school, for favor with teachers and classmates, for help with tests, homework and understanding, for confidence rooted in Christ, and for the removal of physical affliction including spasms. We ask the Lord to strengthen faith, to let each one know that He hears prayer, to heal every part of body and soul, and to replace lies and strongholds with His truth. We pray for healing for those who are burned out and weary, that He would revive faith and restore joy.

Concerning the relationships that burden you, we join you in asking God to do what is holy and good. We do not ask Him to bless what is outside His design, but to save, to bring repentance, and to block what would lead away from Him. We pray that every relationship would be brought under His lordship, that purity would be honored, and that marriage would be honored as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman where alone He has placed the gift of intimacy, and that those who are not in such a covenant would be kept from sexual sin and from living together outside of it. Where there is destructive or evil behavior, we ask Him to confront it, to expose what needs to be exposed, to rebuke it in love, to heal relationships supernaturally where healing is His will, and to prevent further harmful entanglements. May He give wisdom to know how to respond and grace to love truth and mercy together.

We lift up your work, meetings, planning, strategy, leadership and shepherding, the teams and those at headquarters, and all the pressures you carry. We ask for wisdom, organization, and a clear mind, and for help when you feel out of it and unmotivated. We pray that Christ would be first in everything, that He would guide your words and actions, and that He would help you to correct where you have spoken badly about others and to be reconciled where there is strain. We ask Him to anoint the prayer gatherings, the Friday prayer meeting, the worship, the sermons, the workshops, the outreaches and the children's ministry, that His Word would sink deep, pierce hearts, bear fruit and reverberate long after it is spoken, and that many would be drawn to Himself.

You have confessed that you fail often. So do we all. This is why we must not think that hearing alone is sufficient for salvation. The Lord teaches us that we need careful hearing and continual recollection, then fortitude, then deliverance from worldly cares and the deceitfulness of riches, cultivating every part of virtue. Let us therefore continue to repent of what grieves Him, to seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit, to love Him first and foremost and to obey Him, and to persevere in prayer as the widow in Luke 18 who kept crying out until the Lord brought justice. He has promised in Isaiah 54 that no weapon formed against His people shall prosper, and that righteousness and peace are the heritage of His servants.

We will continue to stand with you, asking the Lord to act quickly, to fight your battles, to send encouragement and breakthrough, to give encounters with His presence, and to let you see answered prayer for all you have lifted up, including those earlier requests known only to Him. May He direct and guide you and give you wisdom for each next step.
