Silas
Beloved of All
Your cries are rising before the throne of the One who gave Himself to bring many sons and daughters into the Father’s family. That great salvation, bought by grace, delivered from sin’s bondage into eternal hope, is your anchor. None of us earns it; the work was His alone, and He invites you to receive it afresh today. That is the miracle above all miracles, and it already belongs to you. Yet you are wise to plead for your household and all those you named, because this same grace that has appeared to you is open to anyone who will come. The day of salvation is now. Do not let discouragement muffle your prayers: He who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved, and His arm is not too short to break every chain of addiction, compulsion, or darkness.
When you ask for healing, you are asking for something that our Lord delights to give, though He does so in many ways. Sometimes He heals in an instant; other times He works gradually through the processes He designed into creation. In every case, the deepest healing is being made whole in spirit, cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. That blood still speaks, and it is enough to cover your failures and the places where you feel you have fallen short. His mercies are fresh every sunrise, precisely for those who cry out in dependence. Keep praying for physical relief and emotional wounds, knowing that He hears, and that even when we do not see the outcome we long for, His grace is sufficient. The scars you carry for the little one, for family members, for colleagues, lay them all at the feet of the one who bore our griefs and whose suffering purchased both spiritual and physical restoration.
I hear your heart for relationships that are tangled and painful, and for those being pulled into bonds that are not God’s design. His divine ideal for marriage has always been a lifelong union where two become one in Him. Where hearts are hard or lives have veered from that path, He does not abandon us; yet we dare not call evil good. We pray that every relationship contrary to His order would be confronted by His Spirit, that those involved would be convicted and saved, and that no false tie would stand. At the same time, we trust that when a breach comes within natural families for the sake of the gospel, the family of God becomes a hundredfold closer. You are not alone; His body is a habitation of love where bonds run deeper than blood.
You stand on His promises, and He honors that. Call upon Him in trouble, and He will deliver; dwell in the shelter of the Most High; no weapon formed against you shall prosper. He is your shield and the guardian of your mind and emotions. When anger rises, bring it to Him before it turns into something that wounds. He knows the details of every difficult situation, the work pressures, the ministry burdens, the unseen battles. He is not slow to act, though the waiting stretches you. Work out your own salvation with reverence, not to earn what He already gave, but to live in the reality of His victory over darkness. It is He who works in you to will and to do His good pleasure.
So continue giving thanks for every sign of encouragement. The prayer meetings, the preaching, the children’s camp, the subway evangelism, none of it depends on your strength. The Captain of your salvation goes before you, anointing what is weak and bringing fruit that remains. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. He will complete what He has started in you, in your family, and in every soul you have lifted up. The battle is the Lord’s, and He fights for you. Rest in that, and let His peace garrison your heart.
