We come before you now, lifting up this precious soul who is crying out for freedom from fear and torment. It is clear that the enemy has been at work, seeking to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that our God is greater! You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that truth over this life today, breaking every chain of anxiety and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We rejoice that you have called this person to serve you, for you are faithful to equip those whom you call. The scriptures remind us, *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10). Lord, we ask that you flood their heart with your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their mind and heart in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Yet we must also address something critical: the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in this request. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If there is any uncertainty about salvation, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:9-13).
Father, we pray that if this person has not yet surrendered fully to Christ, you would draw them into your loving arms today. Let them know the freedom that comes from being your child—freedom from condemnation (Romans 8:1), freedom from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2), and freedom to serve you without fear (Luke 1:74).
We rebuke every spirit of fear and torment in Jesus’ name, commanding them to flee, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Fill this beloved one with your Holy Spirit, renewing their mind and strengthening their faith. May they walk in the confidence of your love, knowing that *"perfect love casts out fear"* (1 John 4:18).
Lord, we ask that you open doors of opportunity for them to serve you boldly, without hindrance. Use them mightily for your kingdom, and let their life be a testimony of your delivering power. We thank you, Father, for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
