Lord I'm disappointed in some of the "high profile"

Lord I'm disappointed in some of the "high profile" pastors surrounding what is going on down in Texas. Those who have much yet do so little. Lord what should I do to help? It bothers me that people are suffering, and yet those who live in mansions do so little in the name of Jesus. Real Christians have to wear the shame of a mega tv pastor? No wonder we get ridiculed for being Christians when wolves dress up as sheep. I'm sick over all of this Lord. Help me understand how to deal with the dissonance.

Reality bites. The truth is in the Bible so there should be no dissonance. The Bible states that some people think religion is a way to get rich. Or in other words they use religion to get rich.

The Bible also clearly states you cannot serve both God and Mammom. You will love one and hate the other. It is all about divided loyalities which really reveals where the true loyalty lies. Actions speak louder than words. People show you who they really are if you are willing to observe and accept.

Yes Lord. I too share this frustration. Please put it on the hearts of those who have the means to help - especially those who claim to know You and love You - to do something radical for the people in Texas. In Jesus name, AMEN

Dear Lord we thank you for the faithful shepherds and churches that are faithful serving you and helping those affected by Harvey.  May these faithful believers get media coverage showing the world that the Body of Christ loves and cares about people.  May these believers be a beacon of light showing the love of Christ.  May those who are hurting from this disaster be drawn to you for it is often through our need we seek you. We ask that you Lord deal with those who claim to be your followers who are doing harm for the cause of Christ.  Show us how we can be your hands and feet in this disaster.  Amen
