We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is seeking true friendship and genuine love. First, we must address the foundational truth that our prayers are heard only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray.
Father God, we thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all unrighteousness and grants us the privilege to come boldly before Your throne. We lift up this precious daughter of Yours, asking that You would indeed protect her with Your unfailing love. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield about her. We pray that You would break down the walls of fear, distrust, or past hurts that may be keeping her from the relationships You have ordained for her. Soften her heart, Lord, to receive the love and friendship that comes from You first, for it is only in You that we find our true worth and identity.
We must gently but firmly address the request for reunion with the person she is "really into." If this individual is not a believer or if this relationship does not honor You, Lord, we ask that You close the door completely. The Bible is clear that we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person is a brother or sister in Christ, we pray that You would guide their steps toward one another in a way that honors You, with purity, commitment, and the ultimate goal of marriage. If this relationship has involved any sexual immorality—whether fornication or adultery—we rebuke that sin in the name of Jesus and ask for repentance and healing. Your Word tells us that marriage is honorable and the bed undefiled, but that You will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers (Hebrews 13:4).
Lord, we pray for godly friendships to enter her life—friends who will sharpen her as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), who will encourage her in her walk with You, and who will speak truth in love. We ask that You would prepare her heart to receive these friendships and that You would also prepare the hearts of those You have chosen to be her companions. Let her not be deceived by counterfeit love or relationships that do not align with Your will. Instead, lead her to those who will point her to You and help her grow in her faith.
We also pray for her to find a godly spouse, if it is Your will. Prepare her heart to be a wife who loves, respects, and submits to her husband as unto You, Lord (Ephesians 5:22-24). Prepare her future husband, wherever he may be, to be a man after Your own heart—a leader, provider, and protector who will cherish and honor her as Christ does the Church. Let their relationship be built on the foundation of Your Word, with mutual love, respect, and a shared commitment to serving You.
Father, we ask that You would fill any loneliness or longing in her heart with Your perfect peace. Remind her that You are her first love and that Your plans for her are good, plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Help her to trust in Your timing and to wait patiently for the relationships You have ordained for her.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, rejection, or unworthiness that may be speaking lies to her. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), chosen by You, and deeply loved. Let her walk in the confidence of who she is in Christ, knowing that she is complete in Him (Colossians 2:10).
Lord, we ask that You would bring breakthrough in her life—not just in her relationships, but in every area. Let her experience Your love in tangible ways and see Your hand moving in her circumstances. Give her the courage to step out in faith, to be vulnerable when You call her to be, and to trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We surrender her into Your hands, trusting that You know the desires of her heart and that You will fulfill them according to Your perfect will. May she seek You above all else, and may her relationships reflect Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
