We join you in lifting this work situation to our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is sovereign over all things and deeply cares about the details of your life. It is good that you are bringing this before Him, for Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Yet, we must also gently address that while your prayer is heartfelt, it does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and it is by His authority that our prayers are heard. We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for there is power, salvation, and assurance in His name alone.
Your request for favor and resolution in this matter on Friday is laid before the Lord, but we also remind you that His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. Proverbs 16:9 tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* While we pray for a positive outcome, we must also submit to His will, trusting that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). If this issue involves a student and your program, we pray that God’s wisdom and justice prevail, that His glory would be revealed, and that His purposes would be accomplished in and through this situation.
We also note your mention of anxiety, and we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34, where He teaches us not to worry about tomorrow, for each day has enough trouble of its own. Instead, we are to seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide all we need. Anxiety is a burden no child of God needs to carry alone, for He has promised in 1 Peter 5:7 to take our anxieties upon Himself if we cast them upon Him.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing this challenging situation at work. Lord, You know the details of this matter even more than they do, and we ask that You intervene in Your perfect wisdom and timing. We pray for favor and a positive resolution on Friday, not just for their sake, but for the sake of the student and the program involved. May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified in this situation.
We ask that You remove all anxiety from their heart and replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind them that they are not alone, for You have promised to never leave them nor forsake them. Strengthen them with Your presence, Lord, and guide their steps as they navigate this challenge. Give them the words to speak, the wisdom to act, and the faith to trust in You completely.
If there is any sin or unforgiveness in their heart related to this situation, we ask that You reveal it to them and grant them the grace to repent and release it to You. Help them to walk in integrity and righteousness, knowing that You are their defender and provider.
We also pray for the student and all others involved in this matter. May Your grace and truth be evident to them, and may this situation ultimately point them to You. Use this circumstance for Your glory, Lord, and let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in You and ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, spending time in His Word and in prayer. Remember that God is not just interested in the outcome of this situation but in your heart and your walk with Him. Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He is faithful, and He will see you through this. If there is any area in your life where you are not fully surrendered to Him, we urge you to lay it at His feet today. He is your strength, your shield, and your ever-present help in trouble.
