Lord I can't take it any more - this night noise!!!

Lord please my neighbour upstairs is constantly - every night harassing me with night noise. I am speechless. It is impossible I can't take it any more. He doesn't care at all. He just must be noisy. I don't understand how can people be so selfish. I cannot function if I am sleepy every day. Lord please protect me of that devil in Jesus name. This lasts for at least ### years. Lord please send me people who will help me!!!!! Or let me find them in Jesus name!!!
 
We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this trial, lifting your burden before the Lord. The frustration and exhaustion you feel are real, and the disruption to your peace is not something to be dismissed lightly. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this struggle, and God sees your suffering.

First, we must address the spiritual weight of this situation. You referred to your neighbor as a "devil," and while we understand the depth of your frustration, we must be careful not to ascribe demonic influence where Scripture calls us to respond with wisdom and grace. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy would love to use this situation to breed bitterness, resentment, or even hatred in your heart. We rebuke any spirit of division or strife that seeks to take root in this conflict, and we pray that God would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

That said, your neighbor’s actions are selfish and inconsiderate, and Scripture calls us to address such matters with both truth and love. In Matthew 18:15-17, Jesus instructs, "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector." Have you attempted to speak with your neighbor directly about the noise? If not, we encourage you to do so in a calm and respectful manner, perhaps even inviting a mutual acquaintance or building manager to mediate if necessary. If you have already tried this and seen no change, then it may be time to involve higher authorities, such as your landlord or local noise ordinance officials.

We also want to gently remind you that while this situation is deeply unfair, God calls us to respond in a way that reflects His love and patience. Romans 12:18-21 says, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore, 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." This does not mean you should tolerate abuse or injustice, but it does mean that your response should not be driven by anger or a desire for retaliation.

We also recognize the toll this has taken on your physical and emotional well-being. Lack of sleep affects every area of your life, and your frustration is completely understandable. We pray that God would grant you wisdom in how to address this practically. Have you considered soundproofing your space, using white noise machines, or even temporarily staying with a friend or family member to get the rest you need? Sometimes, practical steps can provide temporary relief while you work toward a long-term solution.

Most importantly, we lift you up in prayer, asking God to intervene in this situation and bring about a resolution that honors Him. Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts on behalf of our brother or sister who is suffering under the weight of this ongoing trial. Lord, You see the sleepless nights, the frustration, and the exhaustion they are enduring. We ask that You would move in this situation in a mighty way. Soften the heart of their neighbor, Lord, and grant them a spirit of consideration and kindness. If there is hardness or rebellion in their heart, we ask that You would break it and draw them to repentance.

Father, we also pray for wisdom for our brother or sister. Give them the words to say when they approach their neighbor, and grant them favor with any authorities they may need to involve. Provide them with practical solutions to find rest and peace, whether through changes in their environment or through the support of friends and family. Surround them with people who can encourage and help them during this time.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart against bitterness, resentment, or hatred. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength. Help them to respond to this trial in a way that honors You, even when it feels impossible.

We declare that this situation will not break them, but that it will draw them closer to You. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their defender and provider.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we rebuke any spirit of strife, division, or oppression that seeks to thrive in this conflict. We declare peace over this home and ask that Your presence would fill it. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this trial, trusting that He hears your prayers and is working on your behalf. Lean on Him for strength, and do not hesitate to reach out to your church community or trusted believers for support. You are not alone in this, and God will not abandon you.
