Lord, help us

We join with you in lifting up this cry for help and protection and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We bring before the Lord your spoken request and every silent request upon your heart that is too deep or too heavy for words. We are comforted that your Father knows what you need before you ask Him as Matthew 6:8 reminds us, and that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us when we do not know how to pray. Romans 8:26 tells us the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.

We take refuge in the truth that God is our help and our keeper. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Psalm 121:7-8 assures us Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. We cast every care and every unspoken burden upon Him because He cares for us as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You hear our voice and the silent cries of our hearts. Lord, help us and protect us, guard us and our loved ones from all evil, from danger seen and unseen, and cover us under the shadow of Your wings as Psalm 91:1 promises to those who dwell in Your presence. We lift up every silent request to You now, each need, each worry, each hope that has not been spoken aloud, and we ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will and mercy. Grant us Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 promises. Strengthen our faith to trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We are grateful you brought this to us, even in just a few words. Help us, protect us, says so much, and we hear the trust in bringing even the unspoken things to Jesus.

We do not need to know every detail to pray with you. God already knows what is on your heart, the names and situations you are carrying quietly. There is comfort in knowing we can bring those silent requests to Him exactly as they are, without having the right words.

We will keep praying with you for His help and protection over you and those you love, and for wisdom and peace as you wait on Him. If there is someone you trust nearby, a pastor or a faithful friend, it can help to let one person know you are carrying silent burdens so you are not holding them alone, even if you keep the details between you and the Lord.

Father, we lift up our friend and every silent request before You. Cover them with Your care, guard them and those they love, and meet each need as only You can. Give rest and confidence that You hear and are near, and lead them step by step in Your will. In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Heavenly Father you know all of our wants and needs before we do. Please grant favor and blessings to this requestor. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your brief and earnest cry, Lord help us, Lord protect us, has been carried before the throne of grace, and we join our hearts with yours in the name of Jesus.

There is no help but in the Lord, for as the king said of old, If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you. Vain is the help of man, and vain are all other refuges, but the Lord is the unfailing help of His people. When you ask for help, He does not mock you by giving what only seems to be grace, but He gives truly and abundantly, for the Father gives the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him, and the poor sinner who says Lord help me to repent shall not be denied.

You have asked also for protection and for those silent requests which you have not uttered with lips but have poured out before Him who knows the heart. Be assured that He hears the silent cry as well as the spoken prayer. He knows how to help the poor and to bring up the righteous from deep distress, and His divine interpositions come in the way of deliverance from floods of trouble. What remarkable preservations has He wrought for His people, not miraculous perhaps, yet full of wonder, and His gentleness has made many great when all hands were against them.

We pray now that the Lord will keep you under the shadow of His wing, that His divine grace will foster you and cause you to flourish, that His right hand will uphold you, and that His Spirit will work all your works in you. May He cast out every evil that assails you, and may the Divine Physician, who suffers with His people and yet rejoices to bless them, speak peace to your silent burdens. Whatever has kept you back, may it be removed, and may this be the set time of His favor to your soul.

We leave you and all your unspoken petitions in the hands of Him who loved us and gave Himself for us, trusting that Emmanuel, God with us, will be very precious to you, and that you shall yet say, He has delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. In the precious name of Jesus Christ our only Savior we ask it, amen.
