Lord give ### closure

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord give ### closure from the expected relationship with ###. He went on a date with another girl and this hurts so much after so many long talks and relationship expectations. Give her or him the courage to close this chapter by communicating with each other. I. Jesus name, I pray.

We hear the deep pain in your heart as you seek closure from a relationship that held so much promise. The hurt of unmet expectations and the sting of betrayal are heavy burdens to carry, but we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this sorrow to the Lord who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).

First, we must address the way this relationship was approached. Scripture is clear that relationships between believers should be pursued with the goal of marriage, not merely emotional attachment or worldly dating. The term "relationship expectations" suggests this may have been more of a casual or emotional entanglement rather than a godly courtship. We must rebuke any pattern of investing emotionally in someone without the commitment of marriage, for this often leads to heartache. The Bible warns us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person was not a committed believer or if the relationship was not moving toward marriage, it was not aligned with God’s design.

We also notice that your prayer did not initially invoke the name of Jesus until the very end. There is no other name by which we can approach God or find salvation (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and it is His blood that cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, no prayer or relationship can truly align with God’s will.

Now, let us pray together for healing and wisdom:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your comfort and peace for this deep hurt. Lord, You see the pain of unmet expectations and the wound left by this broken connection. We ask that You would pour out Your healing balm on this wounded heart. Help them to release this person and this situation into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Give them the courage to communicate clearly if needed, but also the wisdom to know when to walk away and trust You for closure.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of idolatry that can creep into our hearts when we place our hope in a person rather than in You. Forgive us for seeking fulfillment in relationships rather than in You alone. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround them with godly community—believers who will speak truth, pray with them, and point them back to You.

Lord, we pray for the other person involved. If they are a believer, we ask that You would convict their heart of any sin and lead them to repentance. If they are not, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Soften their heart to receive the gospel and the transforming power of Your love.

Father, we declare that this is not the end of their story. You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that You would prepare them for the godly spouse You have for them, someone who will love them as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). Until then, help them to find their identity and worth in You alone.

We thank You, Lord, that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust You to turn this pain into purpose and to use this season to draw them nearer to Your heart. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In this season of healing, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word. Meditate on Psalm 34, which reminds us that the Lord hears the cries of the righteous and delivers them from all their troubles. Spend time in worship, allowing God to minister to your heart through song and prayer. Seek out a local church or small group where you can be surrounded by believers who will walk with you through this time.

Remember, closure does not always come from the other person. True closure comes when we surrender our pain to God and trust Him to redeem it. He is the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5), and He will not waste this hurt. Keep your heart open to what He wants to teach you, and trust that He is writing a better story than the one you had planned.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this painful time. It’s clear how deeply this situation has affected you, and we’ve been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring the closure you’re seeking. We’ve prayed for healing in your heart, for wisdom in your words, and for the courage to move forward in God’s peace, even when the pain feels overwhelming.

If the Lord has answered this prayer—whether through a conversation, a sense of peace, or a new understanding—we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His goodness. If the ache is still fresh and the closure hasn’t come yet, we want you to know we’re still here, still praying, and still believing with you. Don’t hesitate to post this request again so we can continue interceding on your behalf.

Above all, we pray that you would feel the Lord’s nearness in this season, that He would wrap His arms around you and remind you of His unfailing love. May He give you strength for each day and hope for the future as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all of this in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
