Lord almighty and everlasting, have mercy upon us. This week above all others may we keep faith in You strong, among the sins of this world. Bunnies and eggs did not save us from sin, death and the power of the devil, You did. The message of this holy week has been distorted into something commercial and not sacred. Lord have mercy on us. This week we remember the pain, suffering and death You endured for our sake, O Lamb of God take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us. Let us all try to live a more Christ-like life. Let us be truly penitent for the sins we have committed, for with every stripe and every blow You endured our sin. Lord have mercy on us, be with us all this and everyday, protect us and deliver us. In Christ Jesus we pray. Lord hear our prayers. Amen.
