We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is experiencing deep pain from a broken heart. Father God, we know that You see her tears and hear her cries, and we ask that You would draw near to her in this time of sorrow. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we pray that You would mend her heart and bring healing to her soul.
We also recognize, dear sister, that this situation may involve emotions and attachments that were not aligned with God’s perfect will. If there was any form of emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, we must address this with truth and love. The Bible is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If this relationship was not pursued with the intention of honoring God and seeking a godly spouse, we encourage you to repent and surrender these emotions to the Lord. He is faithful to forgive and restore.
We also want to gently remind you that our hope and healing come only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true peace. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He alone can bring lasting comfort and purpose.
Now, let us pray together for this sister:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious daughter of Yours before Your throne. Lord, You know the depths of her pain, and we ask that You would wrap Your arms of love around her. Comfort her with Your presence and remind her that she is never alone. Help her to release this person into Your hands, trusting that You have a plan for her future. We declare that her heart is not abandoned but is being healed by the Great Physician. Father, we ask that You would fill the void in her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard her mind from bitterness, resentment, and despair, and replace those lies with Your truth.
Lord, we pray that You would prepare her for the godly spouse You have for her. Give her the wisdom to wait on Your timing and the discernment to recognize the man You have chosen for her. Help her to seek You above all else, knowing that her worth is found in You alone. We rebuke any spirit of loneliness or rejection that may be trying to take hold of her, and we declare that she is deeply loved by You. Strengthen her faith and fill her with hope as she looks forward to the future You have planned for her.
Father, we also ask that You would work in the life of the man involved in this situation. If he does not know You, draw him to Yourself. If he is a believer, convict him of any wrongdoing and lead him into repentance. May he seek Your will above his own desires and honor You in all his relationships.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Dear sister, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word and surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and support you. Spend time in prayer, worship, and fellowship, allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to your heart. Remember that God’s plans for you are good, and He desires to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He is leading you into a season of joy and fulfillment. You are not forgotten, and your story is not over. God is writing a beautiful testimony through your life, and we believe that He has great things in store for you.
