ThoughtAngels stood on tiptoe trying to see over the horizon of heaven trying to understand the promises the Holy Spirit inspired in the words of the prophets. And now, those of us who follow Jesus have heard the story of God's grace given to us in Jesus. This message wasn't by chance or simply the proclamation of human messengers, but it was brought to us by the work and through the conviction inspired by the Holy Spirit. The prophecies the Holy Spirit made through the prophets were fulfilled and we have received this grace because the Spirit's work wasn't done when the words were spoken, or even when they were fulfilled; no, the Spirit wasn't satisfied that the work was done until it came alive in us!
PrayerAlmighty God, my Abba Father, thank you for investing so much in me that you would send the Holy Spirit to do his work through the centuries, to see that Jesus Christ would come alive in me! Thank you for this grace, and the gift of your Spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen.
