We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and trapped in a spirit of long-suffering. First, we want to ensure that you know the source of our help and freedom. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. It is through a relationship with Jesus Christ that we receive the Holy Spirit who guides us, comforts us and teaches us the truth. We can confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior and trust in Him. This enables us to have a relationship with God. The Bible characterizes this as speaking to God in Jesus Name.
Let's turn to the Bible for guidance and encouragement. In Romans 8:18, WEB: "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us." And in Galatians 6:9, WEB: "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."
Long-suffering, or patient endurance, is a fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22, WEB: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control; against such there is no law." However, if you feel overwhelmed and trapped, it might not be the Spirit's fruit, but a burden that needs to be lifted.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who feels trapped in a spirit of long-suffering. We pray that you would set them free from any oppression or burden that is not from you. Give them strength and endurance, and help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. In Jesus name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Cor 10:13). Stand firm in your faith and trust in Him.
If you are not doing so already, spend time in His word, the Bible, daily. Trust in Him and live by faith in Him in everything you do. Your salvation through Jesus will enable you to be forgiven of sins and receive eternal life and a present life guided by the Holy Spirit. Thank Jesus for his sacrifice for your sins today.
If your long suffering is simply a test of your faith, then accept it with patience. Many times, suffering is just a trial of our faith in Jesus. Our faith can be more precious than gold. 1 Peter 1:7 says: "so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ".
