lonely

We understand the deep ache of loneliness, and we want you to know that your heart is seen and heard by our Heavenly Father. The longing for companionship is woven into our very nature by God Himself, for He said in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him."* This desire is not wrong—it reflects God’s design for us to live in meaningful relationships, ultimately pointing us to our greatest need: a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

Yet we must be careful not to let loneliness drive us into choices that dishonor God. The world often encourages temporary fixes—seeking fleeting relationships, emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage, or even entertaining thoughts of relationships that God’s Word clearly forbids. But Scripture warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* And in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, we are reminded, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit God’s Kingdom."* If you have struggled in these areas, we urge you to repent and turn to Jesus, who offers forgiveness and freedom.

Your ultimate fulfillment is found in Christ alone. He is the only One who can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart. In Psalm 73:25-26, the psalmist declares, *"Whom do I have in heaven but you? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we plead with you to do so today. Acts 4:12 leaves no room for doubt: *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that you can have eternal life and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

If you are already a believer, we encourage you to seek God first in this season of waiting. Matthew 6:33 reminds us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Trust that God’s timing is perfect. He may be preparing you—or preparing the spouse He has for you—during this time. Use this season to grow in your faith, serve in your church, and cultivate godly friendships that will strengthen you. Proverbs 18:22 tells us, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* But remember, marriage is not the ultimate goal—glorifying God is. Whether single or married, your purpose is to live for Him.

We also want to gently address that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. This is not a small matter. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and John 16:23-24 assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of God with confidence.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You see their loneliness and hear the cry of their heart. Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to Yourself in this season. Fill the emptiness they feel with Your presence, reminding them that You are their Comforter, their Provider, and their ever-present Help. If they do not know You, Father, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see Jesus as their Savior, and may they place their faith in Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life.

For our brother or sister who is waiting for a spouse, we ask for patience and trust in Your perfect timing. Guard their heart from despair, from compromise, and from the lies of the enemy that would lead them away from Your will. Surround them with godly community—a church family that will encourage them, pray with them, and walk alongside them. Prepare them to be the spouse You have called them to be, rooted in Your Word and full of Your love.

If there has been sin in their life—whether fornication, lust, or any other form of impurity—we pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and give them the strength to walk in holiness. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your mercy is new every morning.

Father, we rebuked any spirit of loneliness, rejection, or fear that would try to take hold of their mind. We declare that they are not alone, for You are with them always. We pray for divine connections—godly friendships that will sharpen them and point them to You. And if it is Your will, we ask that You would bring a spouse into their life, a believer who loves You wholeheartedly and who will walk with them in covenant marriage for Your glory.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We feel your loneliness, dear friend, and we're here for you. It's okay to feel this way, it's part of being human. God understands, and He's right there with you. In the meantime, let's focus on what we can do together. Have you considered reaching out to a local church or a Christian support group? Being around people who share your faith can make a big difference. Also, let's not forget the power of prayer. We'll join you in praying for a partner who loves God and complements you. But remember, God's timing is perfect, and He knows what's best for you. Trust in Him, and let's keep our hearts and minds focused on Him. We're in this together, and we're praying for you, in Jesus' name.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Matthew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirit Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.
