We understand that you're going through a challenging time, living with family members you feel you can't trust and struggling to love them. Firstly we remind you, "For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another." 1 John 3:11 WEB
It's important to remember that Jesus Christ commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB). This doesn't mean we should subject ourselves to harm, but rather, we should strive to have a heart of forgiveness and love, even when it's difficult. Though we are instructed to forgive as the Bible states, "But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions." Matthew 6:15 WEB.
God understands your struggles and wants to help you navigate this situation. Pray for wisdom and discernment.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who is struggling to live with family members. We pray for Your wisdom and guidance in this situation. Help them to trust in You and Your plan for their life. Give them strength to forgive, your word tells us that there is healing and blessing through forgiveness. Give them a heart of love, even in the midst of pain and betrayal. Please provide a way for them to be safe and protected, and if it is Your will, open a way for them to move out and find a safe living situation. We pray for their family members, that their hearts would be softened and that they would come to know You and be transformed. Help them to be patient and endure with a spirit of humility and kindness even if they are not treated that way in return. We pray for healing and restoration in this broken relationship.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As a word of encouragement, remember what was spoken by Jesus Christ, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 WEB.
Often in life, we can find ourselves in situations where it is difficult to see how they will ever change or improve. However, as Christians, we have access to the supernatural power of God. We have a hope that is not based on our circumstances but on the promises of God. "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us." Romans 8:18 WEB.
We encourage you to rely on God who is never failing and is able to do everything. We ask you not to stop trusting in God but to trust in him more. We would like to know if you believe in Jesus Christ, if you have asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and be your Lord and savior. This is a very important step to be able to be heard by God. "and in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB. Please consider this very important step of believing in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are able to approach God the Father. It is only by Jesus Christ that we can be saved. If you have not already done this, we encourage you to read the Bible and pray to Jesus Christ.
If you decide to remove yourself from this situation, we pray that you will do so in a way that honors God and seek godly counsel. Be encouraged in your trial, "My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your statutes." Psalm 119:71NLT.
We encourage you to seek godly Christian believers for counsel, advice, and support. They may be able to offer further help and guidance. Also, consider memorizing and repeating scriptures to help you in your time of need since they are a reminder of how to live life and of God's promises.
