We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of life and the promise of resurrection through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Your mention of "life" and "resurrection" reminds us of the foundational truth of our faith—that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, conquering death so that we might have eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). This is the hope that anchors our souls, and we rejoice in it with you today.
You also mention your computer and music as part of your day, and we want to lift these things before the Lord as well. Technology and creativity are gifts from God, meant to be used for His glory. Whether you are working, creating, or simply enjoying music, we pray that these tools would draw you closer to Him and not distract you from His presence. The Psalmist reminds us, *"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!"* (Psalm 150:6). May your music be a form of worship, and may your work be done as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of life and the hope of resurrection found only in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would fill our hearts with gratitude for the sacrifice of Your Son, who conquered sin and death so that we might live eternally with You. Lord, we lift up this day to You—every task, every moment, and every note of music. May our computers, our work, and our creativity be used to honor You and reflect Your goodness. Guard our hearts from distractions that pull us away from Your presence, and help us to use these gifts for Your glory.
Father, we also ask that You would fill us with Your Holy Spirit, guiding us in all that we do. May our lives be a testimony to Your love and grace, and may we always remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we declare that Jesus Christ is Lord over every area of our lives.
We rebuke any spirit of complacency or idolatry that might try to creep into our use of technology or entertainment. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May our days be marked by worship, obedience, and a deep love for You.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
