Disciple of Prayer
I have been thrown into a very stressful project at work that I cry almost everyday. My senior always scolds me, and I try to understand him, as he's also very stressed. It just seems that all the frustration is thrown at me. I'm just trying my best, and I have to work two shifts to cover all the tasks that they make me do. I haven't had enough sleep for two weeks since I was involved in this project, so my body is also as down as my heart. Please pray I gain the wisdom and strength everyday to do my best at work in a way that glorifies God. I also hope to be emotionally stable that my heart stops aching and be comforted by the Lord.

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father hears the prayers of His children. The weight you carry is heavy, and the exhaustion you feel—both in body and spirit—is not unseen by the Lord. We stand with you in prayer, asking God to sustain you, strengthen you, and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

First, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by the demands of this project or the harsh words of others. Your identity is found in Christ, who calls you His beloved. The apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Even in the midst of overwhelming tasks and sleepless nights, the Lord is your strength. We pray that you would cling to this truth, that His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also lift up your senior before the Lord. While it is right to seek to understand his stress, we rebuke the spirit of oppression that may be influencing him to lash out unfairly. We pray that God would soften his heart, grant him wisdom in leadership, and help him to see the value of those under his care. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* May the Lord bring conviction where it is needed and restoration where there is brokenness.

Your desire to glorify God in your work is commendable, and we pray that He would give you wisdom to navigate these challenges with grace. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Even when the work feels endless, remember that you are ultimately serving the Lord, and He sees your labor.

We also pray for your emotional and physical well-being. The aching in your heart and the weariness in your body are not ignored by our Father. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We ask that God would comfort you, renew your strength, and grant you rest—both in sleep and in soul. Jesus invites you in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."*

Lastly, we encourage you to cast your anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If this season of stress is prolonged, we pray that God would open doors for relief—whether through wisdom to delegate, courage to set boundaries, or even a change in circumstances. Trust in His timing and His provision.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up every burden they carry. Lord, You see their tears, their exhaustion, and their faithfulness to honor You in their work. We ask that You would be their strength when they are weak, their peace when they are overwhelmed, and their comfort when their heart aches. Grant them wisdom to navigate this season with grace, and soften the hearts of those around them. Provide rest for their body and renewal for their spirit. Remind them that their labor is not in vain, for You are their ultimate reward. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
