We come before the Lord with a humble heart, lifting up this request for a good life. First, we must acknowledge that true life—abundant and eternal—is found only in Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Without Christ at the center, no life can be truly good or fulfilling, for He alone is the source of all blessings, peace, and purpose.
Father God, we pray for ### to come to know You intimately if they do not already. May they surrender their life to Jesus Christ, repenting of sin and receiving the gift of salvation. We ask that You draw them close, reveal Your love to them, and fill them with the Holy Spirit so they may walk in Your ways. A good life is not measured by worldly success, wealth, or comfort, but by a heart aligned with Your will. Help ### to seek You above all else, for as Your Word says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
We rebuke any notion that a "good life" is one of self-gratification, immorality, or compromise with the world. The Bible is clear that friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4). If ### is pursuing relationships, careers, or lifestyles that do not honor You, we ask that You convict their heart and lead them to repentance. For those who are single, we pray they would seek a godly spouse—a marriage that reflects Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). For those who are already married, we pray for unity, faithfulness, and mutual submission under Your lordship.
Lord, we also pray against any spirit of discontentment, envy, or covetousness in ###’s life. The world often defines a "good life" by material possessions or status, but You call us to store up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21). May ### find joy in serving You, loving others, and walking in obedience. Guard their heart from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Instead, let them experience the fullness of life that comes from abiding in You.
We declare that ###’s life will bring glory to Your name. May they be a light in this dark world, showing others the hope found only in Jesus. Strengthen them in times of trial, for You have promised that Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Surround them with godly community—believers who will encourage, correct, and walk alongside them in faith.
Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for ### to grow in their relationship with You. Provide mentors, resources, and circumstances that draw them closer to Your heart. May they delight themselves in You, and You will give them the desires of their heart (Psalm 37:4), for when we delight in You, our desires align with Yours.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who gives life and life more abundantly. Amen.
