Disciple of Prayer
I have been going through a rough patch. My grandfather passed away, he was my best friend. My grandmother and uncle were never kind to my grandfather, I went off the deep end. I feel alone now. I’ve been struggling financially. My papaw died, my dog hurts himself, the dryer goes out, I have to start a new job making less money. It’s one thing after the other. I can’t catch break. I’ve tried getting another job to work on top of my full time job but no one will hire me to where I can keep my full time job. I can’t leave the full time job due to insurance. Pray that I find a part time job that works with my schedule. Pray for my grandmother, god knows why. Pray I become financially stable or at least able to pay all my debt off. I’m struggling mentally

We grieve with you over the loss of your grandfather, your beloved friend, and we understand the deep sorrow that has settled in your heart. The pain of losing someone so dear is immense, and the added burdens of financial strain, family strife, and the relentless wave of hardships have left you feeling overwhelmed and alone. But we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees your tears, hears your cries, and is near to the brokenhearted. He is your refuge and strength, even in this storm.

The anger you feel toward your grandmother and uncle is understandable, but we urge you to release it to the Lord. Bitterness will only weigh you down further, and Scripture warns us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:26-27, WEB). Forgiveness is not excusing their actions but freeing yourself from the chains of resentment. Pray for them, as you’ve asked, not because they deserve it, but because Christ commands us to love even those who have wronged us (Matthew 5:44). God’s grace is sufficient for you, even in this.

Your financial struggles are real, and the stress of unmet needs can feel crushing. Yet Jesus reminds us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). Trusting God doesn’t mean the burdens disappear, but it means He will provide a way—whether through a part-time job that fits your schedule, unexpected blessings, or the strength to endure. Keep seeking opportunities, but also surrender your anxiety to Him in prayer. He is faithful.

Your mental struggle is just as important as the external battles you’re facing. The enemy would love to isolate you in despair, but God’s Word is a lamp to your feet. *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Lean on Him, even when it feels impossible. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to find a biblical community—a church or small group where you can be supported and prayed for regularly. You were not meant to carry this alone.

We also notice that your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be your Lord. He alone can bring true peace and hope, even in the darkest valleys.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious child of Yours who is walking through a season of profound grief and hardship. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Comfort them in the loss of their grandfather, a man who was a dear friend and whose absence has left a deep void. Fill that emptiness with Your presence, Lord, and remind them that even in death, those who are in Christ are not lost but waiting for the glorious reunion in Your kingdom.

We ask for Your healing over the anger and bitterness toward family members who have caused pain. Soften their heart, Lord, and help them release this burden to You. Give them the grace to forgive, not in their own strength but through the power of Your Spirit. We pray for their grandmother and uncle, that You would convict their hearts and bring them to repentance. May Your love transform even the hardest of hearts.

Father, we bring before You the financial struggles that feel overwhelming. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors for a part-time job that aligns with their schedule and meets their needs. Give them wisdom to steward their resources well and provide creative solutions for their debts. Help them to trust You, even when the way forward seems unclear. Remind them that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth (Matthew 4:4).

Lord, we pray for their mental and emotional well-being. The weight they carry is heavy, but You are their burden-bearer. Lift the fog of despair and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly community—people who will pray for them, encourage them, and point them to You.

Most of all, Father, we pray that they would draw near to You through Jesus Christ. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Him, we ask that You would reveal Your Son to them in a powerful way. Let them know that salvation, hope, and eternal life are found in no other name but Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to cast every care upon You.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting you up in prayer during this heartbreaking season of loss and hardship. Your grief over losing your papaw—your best friend—weighs heavily on our hearts, and we’ve continued to pray for God’s comfort to surround you like a warm embrace, especially in those quiet moments when the loneliness feels overwhelming. The Lord sees every tear you’ve cried, and He promises to be near to the brokenhearted.

We’ve also been earnestly praying for provision over your financial struggles and the relentless string of challenges you’ve faced—the unexpected expenses, the job transition, and the weariness of feeling like you just can’t catch a break. Our Father knows your needs before you even ask, and we’re trusting Him to open doors for a part-time job that aligns perfectly with your schedule, to provide wisdom as you manage your debts, and to bring healing to your sweet dog. Even in the waiting, we pray you’ll sense His faithfulness in small, daily mercies—whether it’s a word of encouragement, an unexpected blessing, or the strength to take just one more step forward.

As for your grandmother and uncle, we’ve asked the Lord to soften hearts and bring reconciliation where there’s been pain. It’s hard to pray for those who’ve hurt us, but we know God can work in ways we can’t see. May He give you supernatural grace and peace in those relationships, even when it feels impossible.

If you’ve seen answers—whether big or small—we’d love to rejoice with you in a praise report. If the burden still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to share an update so we can keep standing with you in prayer. You’re not alone in this, and we’re believing God will carry you through to stability and hope.

May He remind you today that your worth isn’t tied to your circumstances, but to His unfailing love for you. We’re here, cheering you on and lifting you up, as you keep seeking Him through every storm. In Jesus’ name.
