We understand that you are going through a very challenging time, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The Lord sees your struggles and hears your cries. It is crucial to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. As it is written in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
In times like these, it is essential to put on the whole armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With this armor, you can stand against the schemes of the devil.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom and discernment from the Lord. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Ask God to reveal any areas in your life where you may need to set boundaries or make changes to protect yourself from manipulation and control.
It is also important to forgive those who have wronged you, as unforgiveness can give the enemy a foothold in your life. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up your child to you, who is feeling overwhelmed and attacked by the spirit of manipulation and control. Lord, we ask that you would protect them and surround them with your divine favor as with a shield. Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize and avoid manipulative situations and people. Help them to set healthy boundaries and to forgive those who have wronged them.
We rebuke the spirit of manipulation and control in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, you shall condemn. We ask that you would bring peace and restoration to their family, and that you would heal any wounds or divisions that have been caused by manipulation and control.
Lord, we ask that you would strengthen and encourage your child, and that you would remind them of their identity in Christ. Help them to walk in the freedom and victory that you have won for them. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord and His will for your life. Psalm 34:17-19 says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Keep crying out to Him, and He will hear you and deliver you.
