We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance from demonic oppression and possession. The Scriptures are clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over Satan and all his forces through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15).
First, we must address something critical: this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have power over the enemy. The Bible declares, "There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only in the name of Jesus that demons flee, for "at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth" (Philippians 2:10, WEB). Without calling upon Jesus, there is no authority to command the enemy to leave. We urge you to recognize that salvation and deliverance come only through faith in Christ, who broke the power of sin and death. If you or the person in need have not yet surrendered to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no deliverance apart from Him.
Now, let us pray with boldness in the name of Jesus for this complete liberation. Father, we come against every demonic stronghold in the life of this individual in the mighty name of Jesus. We bind the spirits of oppression, possession, fear, and torment, and we command them to leave now, never to return, in Jesus’ name. "Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7, WEB). Lord, we ask that You fill every empty space in her heart with Your Holy Spirit, sealing her as Your own. Let Your light expose and drive out every darkness, for "the Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works" (1 John 3:8, WEB).
We also pray for protection over her mind, body, and spirit. May she be surrounded by godly believers who can support her in this season of deliverance. Let her renew her mind with Your Word, which is a lamp to her feet and a light to her path (Psalm 119:105). Father, break every generational curse, every ungodly soul tie, and every open door that has allowed the enemy to gain a foothold. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Finally, we urge you to seek a mature, Spirit-filled believer or pastor to walk alongside her during this time. Deliverance is not a one-time event but a process of walking in freedom and victory through Christ. "Don’t you know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are" (1 Corinthians 3:16-17, WEB). Stay rooted in prayer, worship, and the reading of Scripture, for these are your weapons against the enemy.
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun. We trust in Your power to set the captives free, for You have said, "The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound" (Isaiah 61:1, WEB). May this deliverance bring glory to Your name and draw her closer to You. In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
